Livingston can count themselves unlucky not to have the lead at the break at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen started well but fizzled out as the visitors took a grip on the game, their tricky fast passing causing the hosts all sorts of problems.

Aberdeen started the brighter, but Livingston finished the stronger in a first half of few chances.

The home side have Joe Lewis to thank for a good block to deny Scott Robinson, while Dons midfielder Lewis Ferguson should have done better with a shot in front of goal.

Another Livingston booking as Nicky Devlin wipes out Matty Kennedy as the Aberdeen winger looked to get away on the left.

Half-time is approaching and Aberdeen are struggling to get a touch as the visitors pop passes around at pace. Their momentum is halted though by a daft, late lunge on Lewis Ferguson from Craig Sibbald.

Nicky Devlin fires in a cross from the right and Joe Lewis moves smartly to pluck it from the air.

Suddenly, it's all Livingston.

How did that stay out?

Livingston should be ahead as Matty Kennedy is caught napping and the ball is stolen by Nicky Devlin. The full-back powers into the box and lays it off for Scott Robinson rather than have a shot.

Robinson tries to sidestep the advancing Joe Lewis but the Dons keeper sticks out one of big feet to make a vital block. The loose ball falls to Craig Sibbald and his shot is deflected just wide by a defender in red.

A half chance for Aberdeen as low cross from the left from Matty Kenndy rolls all the way to Lewis Ferguson near the edge of the six yard box, but the midfielder's scuffed shot under pressure goes straight at Robby McCrorie.

Aberdeen are looking pretty sharp so far, with some nice crisp passing and good movement up top from Marley Watkins.

Livingston just can't get the ball to stick in the opposition half, with Aberdeen enjoying 55% possession.

However, the visitors have had the best chance, with that Alan Forest run thwarted by Shay Logan's tremendous tackle.
