    HT: Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The last 10-15 minutes of the first half Livingston were in control. Their movement has been excellent, very easy on the eye. Aberdeen are struggling to make an impact in the game. Does Derek McInnes change it?

  4. Conway gets Saints start; Nisbet out for Hibspublished at 15:57 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    St Johnstone v Hibernian (16:30)

Both sides show one change from their last outing. Saints midfielder David Wotherspoon drops to the bench after Thursday's defeat to Aberdeen, with Craig Conway taking his place.

Hibs - held at home by Motherwell a week ago - are without top scorer Kevin Nisbet through injury. It means a slight change of formation, with playmaker Scott Allan slotting in behind Christian Doidge for his first start since the opening-day win over Kilmarnock.

  7. Unlucky Livi?published at 15:51 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    HT: Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Livingston can count themselves unlucky not to have the lead at the break at Pittodrie.

Aberdeen started well but fizzled out as the visitors took a grip on the game, their tricky fast passing causing the hosts all sorts of problems.

  8. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 0-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

Aberdeen started the brighter, but Livingston finished the stronger in a first half of few chances.

The home side have Joe Lewis to thank for a good block to deny Scott Robinson, while Dons midfielder Lewis Ferguson should have done better with a shot in front of goal.

  9. 'Livi wasted when they knock it long'published at 15:46 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Richard Foster
Partick Thistle defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

I'm surprised Livingston go long at all looking at the last 10 minutes. They've been excellent moving it around midfield, all the players are ball players. They are wasted when they knock it long

  10. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

Another Livingston booking as Nicky Devlin wipes out Matty Kennedy as the Aberdeen winger looked to get away on the left.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:44 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

Half-time is approaching and Aberdeen are struggling to get a touch as the visitors pop passes around at pace. Their momentum is halted though by a daft, late lunge on Lewis Ferguson from Craig Sibbald.

  12. Livingston up the tempopublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

Nicky Devlin fires in a cross from the right and Joe Lewis moves smartly to pluck it from the air.

    Suddenly, it's all Livingston.

  13. 'Robinson has got to hit it first time'published at 15:39 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Richard Foster
Partick Thistle defender on BBC Radio Scotland

    Quote Message

I don't think Scott Robinson thinks Nicky Devlin is going to pass him the ball. I think Devlin could have shot but when he passes it Robinson has got to hit it first time. As a defender you are buzzing when he takes a touch

  14. 'Magnificent, unconventional goalkeeping'published at 15:37 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Matty Kennedy switched off completely. What a chance, but what a tackle from big Joe Lewis. Magnificent, unconventional goalkeeping.

  15. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:37 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    How did that stay out?

Livingston should be ahead as Matty Kennedy is caught napping and the ball is stolen by Nicky Devlin. The full-back powers into the box and lays it off for Scott Robinson rather than have a shot.

Robinson tries to sidestep the advancing Joe Lewis but the Dons keeper sticks out one of big feet to make a vital block. The loose ball falls to Craig Sibbald and his shot is deflected just wide by a defender in red.

  16. Ferguson fluffs good chancepublished at 15:31 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

A half chance for Aberdeen as low cross from the left from Matty Kenndy rolls all the way to Lewis Ferguson near the edge of the six yard box, but the midfielder's scuffed shot under pressure goes straight at Robby McCrorie.

  17. 'Livi going long despite lack of height'published at 15:27 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Even though Livingston don't have height up front they are not frightened to play it long and high and then try to get onto the second balls

  18. 'Sharp start from the Dons'published at 15:24 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Aberdeen are looking pretty sharp so far, with some nice crisp passing and good movement up top from Marley Watkins.

  19. Postpublished at 15:22 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

    Aberdeen 0-0 Livingston

Livingston just can't get the ball to stick in the opposition half, with Aberdeen enjoying 55% possession.

However, the visitors have had the best chance, with that Alan Forest run thwarted by Shay Logan's tremendous tackle.

  20. 'Watkins looks lively'published at 15:17 British Summer Time 23 August 2020

Marley Watkins looks lively, he's keeping the ball moving well. So far, he looks like he could be a good acquisition for Aberdeen
