It's an absolute belter. He cuts across it and it goes into the far corner. Decent pace on the ball but you just wonder with the keeper... You have to give Leandro Trossard credit. I don't know, I get the feeling the keeper should have done better.

    Leandro Trossard (54 mins)

What exactly did Chelsea's scouts see in Kepa Arrizabalaga? Because goalkeeping is really not one of his strengths.

The mind boggles. They might as well play a rush goalie.

It's a decent hit from Leandro Trossard, dipping and powerful from about 22 yards, but really any Premier League keeper should save that.

Brighton making all the early running in this second half. Chelsea haven't been at it and that sums it up as Kai Havertz spanners a pass 20 yards behind his target and out of play. Oh dear.

The ball before that... Tariq Lamptey drives past two Chelsea defenders and into the box. He fires it across the box and it's Kurt Zouma who takes one in the region you don't want to take one!

Absolutely superb. Cafu stuff from Tariq Lamptey as he burns down the right, skips between two Chelsea defenders and then lashes a shot into the groin of Kurt Zouma. An eye-stinger!

  6. CLOSE!published at 46 mins

    Brighton 0-1 Chelsea

A decent chance for Brighton right from the off as Solly March dribbles down the left and puts in a low cross which Aaron Connolly puts into the side-netting.

It was a really tough angle for him.

    Here come the sides.

Chelsea have only lost one of their last 71 PL matches in which they had a lead at half time (W59-D11-L1). Their only loss in this run came against Wolverhampton on 5 December 2018 (2-1 loss after 1-0 lead at half-time).

More from Chris Wilder, who is asked by Match of the Day if he is worried about 'second season syndrome': "Second season syndrome, all the things they come out with it is stuff we can't get involved in. We have just got to get our heads down and try and play our football. The players are going into it with one year under their belt.

"Everyone gets asked the question whether you win a game or lose a game. It comes with the territory, we just get our heads down and look forward to the next game. We will handle it, we will take it on the chin. Wolves did more than enough to win a game of football and they're off and running. We go onto the next game looking for our first three points."

I think Brighton have played pretty well. They have had a few opportunities and not taken them and been a bit sloppy at the back. Chelsea have made them pay but you could hardly say Chelsea deserve it, or that they have looked slick. But they lead!

Tonight was Adam Lallana's 10th Premier League start since the end of the 2016-17 season and he didn't even make it to half-time before getting injured.

    A real shame.

Superb from Timo Werner who skins Lewis Dunk inside the area and then from the tightest of angles he drills in a shot which nearly squeaks in. Mat Ryan has to make the stop.

That's a big blow. That was my worry for Adam Lallana when he came to Brighton. Hopefully it's a minor injury and he's back quickly. That's so disappointing.

The moment the Brighton physios and fans were dreading - Adam Lallana goes down off the ball and looks forlorn. Game done already?

Not good enough I'm afraid, Chelsea work a nice one-two and they break into the Brighton half. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has so much room to play Timo Werner in on goal but he hesitates and then his pass is cut out by Ben White.

RLC should have been collecting an assist there.
