  1. CLOSE!published at 70 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

Almost a second as Richarlison bends a fine effort just wide of the far corner. He missed that golden chance in the first half but he's been excellent today.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 69 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

It feels like Harry Kane hasn't really been sharp for about three years but he still scores a bucketload. Interesting.

As is this, Gylfi Sigurdsson comes on for Andre Gomes which means he'll be asked to play quite deep and to the left of centre.

  3. 'Kane not fit'published at 17:54 British Summer Time 13 September 2020

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Harry Kane does not look fit, he is not himself, even in his aura and presence.

Jose Mourinho keeps on chopping and changing and Kane does not look right, he needs more support and does not look at the races.

I watched Spurs in pre-season and Kane did not play, they played differently to what they are doing today. Kane is the goalscorer so you have to play him.

It is going to take time to gel.

Mickey Bricks: people seem to be mistaking Real Madrid's abundance of midfielders and Zidane not really taking to him to mean James Rodriguez is not top quality. He is slick and has a wand of a left foot.

Saroj: All or Nothing?? It is definitely going to be Nothing again this year for Spurs. Jose will be gone by end of the season

Ash: The most Kane has done is a half hearted attempt to press Gomes. Once he got past, Kane just stopped. Sign of a team that doesn’t care.

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

DCL does brilliantly again to bully Eric Dier and run in on goal but they don't make the best of it. Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison rather get in each other's way and the move breaks down.

Unsurprisingly James Rodriguez has faded out of the game a bit.

  7. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

Spurs haven't had a shot in the half yet. Jose Mourinho is making plenty of tweaks and gestures to his players.

  8. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal was his 25th for Everton in the Premier League, equalling Wayne Rooney's total for the Toffees.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 60 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

Jose makes a change as Harry Winks departs, Steven Bergwijn comes on. A reshuffle you'd think.

  10. Postpublished at 58 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

Jose Mourinho is unhappy that the free-kick wasn't taken in the right spot and he has a point, but still, just clear it mate.

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

The delivery was absolutely on the money from Lucas Digne.

Spurs are playing the high line and Digne only had to put it in that area and Dominic Calvert-Lewin had to get his head on it.

He bullied Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld.

  12. Postpublished at 57 mins

    Tottenham 0-1 Everton

That would be on the shortlist for goal of the month if I had a say. Proper net-ripping headers are undervalued but that was a brilliant goal.

    Can Spurs respond?

  13. goal

GOAL - Tottenham 0-1 Evertonpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 13 September 2020

    Dominic Calvert-Lewin (55 mins)

WHAT a header! That is sensational stuff. Lucas Digne delivers an inswinging free-kick from deep on the left and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is climbing higher than anyone else to plant a powerful header into the top corner.

Hugo Lloris didn't even move. That was brilliantly taken.

  14. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

Another fine intervention from a new signing. Harry Kane heads the Everton corner away and Lucas Moura threatens to burst away on the break. He gets over halfway but Abdoulaye Doucoure motors back to slide in and make the stop. Good play.

  15. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

Andre Gomes now has a shot deflected over the top after a great ball in from Richarlison. Everton pushing hard for the opener.

  16. Postpublished at 51 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

A chance, and a good one for James Rodriguez! Everton send Dominic Calvert-Lewin away over the top, he's pulled into space smartly on the left. He gets his head up and picks out James in space on the penalty spot, he couldn't be better placed, but he snatches at the shot and puts it wide.

James then floats a beauty of a pass onto the head of Richarlison but again the finish isn't there.

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

    Karen Carney
Former England and Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Looking at Lucas Moura, he is playing closer to Harry Kane.

When Kane plays, he does not press like the others would.

Moura has gone up there to stop them from playing out and popping the ball into midfield.

  18. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

Abdoulaye Doucoure leaves one on Ben Davies, that looked like it could be a painful one but he bounces right back up. Spurs on top at the start of the second half.

  19. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Tottenham 0-0 Everton

Moussa Sissoko looks to be playing high on the right for Spurs with Lucas going more central. Spurs win an instant corner.
