Yves Bissouma carries the ball through the middle as Brighton break again. He waits for support from Neal Maupay to his right.

It's eventually played across pitch to Leandro Trossard, who cuts inside and fires it towards goal. It's always rising and it's over the bar harmlessly.

Things did not end well for Ryan Fraser at Bournemouth, but I still think he is a good player - a really good player.

I think a lot of the issue with the high number of goals is teams having no time to work on shape in pre season. Attacking wise teams can benefit from a loose and open style, in defense it's leaving teams porous. It'll be interesting to see if this persists once teams get a few more weeks of training in.

Aleksander Todorov: Allan Saint-Maximin, Jonjo Shelvey and Jamaal Lewis will all have nightmares about Tariq Lamptey tonight. He's ripping them and the rest of the Newcastle team to shreds with his play. A bright future indeed.

David Ljunggren: Shelvey in a bad mood, 10 black and while traffic cones around him; it’s going to be a long day

Brighton have been comfortably the better team and could be even more than two goals up. They are creating chances at will at the moment.

Agree with JHan. No fans spells the end of home advantage. Just look at the increase in away team goals.

Adam Webster is the target but Andy Carroll deals with it. Newcastle look to break quickly but Tariq Lamptey does well to slide in and stop Callum Wilson getting away.

He HAD to get that right.

The way the seasons looking it'll probably only take 5 clean sheets to win golden glove

    Graham

Steve Bruce quietly thanking his lucky stars that there's no fans in SJP. This is horrible.

43 goals is the record for more fixtures in a weekend. Just 14 more needed then!

Lamptey has been exceptional since the restart post lockdown. My only concern as a Brighton fan is I can't see it being long before one of the big boys come in for him if he keeps this form up.

Jeff Hendrick has switched over to the other side to offer support in dealing with Tariq Lamptey.

But it's not done anything. He's caught on his heels, Lamptey gets in behind and he beats Jamal Lewis to the ball, gets taken down and wins a free-kick.

Lewis goes into the book too. Whatever Lamptey had for breakfast, I want.
