    Man City 1-3 Leicester

If Leicester's box was swimming in maroon before, it is utterly awash in it now as the away players dig in. Every time a home player gets on the ball within 25 yards of goal it is like the scene in The Shining when the lift doors open.

Jamie Vardy causes a problem to most defences but especially to Manchester City's, which is not the quickest. Vardy misses the ball completely but gets behind the defender. Manchester City are scared of pace, you can see that. Leicester's gameplan is working and Man City have run out of steam. Well done Jamie Vardy.

    Man City 1-3 Leicester

How about this for a fact...

This is only the third ever hat-trick scored against a side managed by Pep Guardiola and two of them have been scored by Jamie Vardy - the other was Lionel Messi in October 2016 in a Champions League game.

Vardy makes no mistake again, slotting his spot-kick in low to the bottom corner.

    A hat-trick no less. Remarkable.

  5. PENALTY TO LEICESTERpublished at 58 mins

    Man City 1-2 Leicester

Man City implosion. Leicester thought they should have had a penalty a minute earlier for a foul on Soyuncu. But no matter as Garcia's clumsy push on Vardy gives them one now.

    Man City 1-2 Leicester

Now Leicester really do have something to protect. You have to give them a huge amount of credit. They've seen little of the ball but kept their heads and been ruthless when it mattered.

We already know all about Vardy, but Castagne is already looking a player.

Well, well, well. Cat, say hello to the pigeons.

This is a lovely, lovely goal. Tielemens releases Timothy Castagne down the right side of the box and his low cross is flicked in at the near post by Vardy.

Mahrez drives infield and fires a shot just past the post from the edge of the box. I think Phil Foden felt he was better placed to receive a pass.

And here comes Liam Delap, son of former Stoke player Rory. He scored in the Carabao Cup in midweek and replaces Fernandinho.

I'm not going to make a throw-in reference.

This half is going to comprise a Man City onslaught. I know it, you know it and so do Leicester.

Looks like we're going to see Liam Delap for his Premier League debut soon.

There is no point grumbling about the new handball rule. We simply have to bring in some proper Irish dancing coaches to work with the defenders. Forget Strictly... Premier League Riverdance is what we want to see.

Spurs boss Jose Mourinho on Dele Alli's future: "Everytime on the pitch to perform the way we want. Incredible number of fixtures and on the pitch, you cannot waste opportunities. There are others waiting for the same minutes. It is an internal fight, fight between friends. Everyone will get chances to play.

Will Alli be at Spurs at end of transfer window? "I believe so."

Take a bow Steve Bruce - he's right but it's rare for the manager whose team benefits to be so blunt about it. Respect to him, we need to stand together against a common foe.

You either take it away from VAR and let the referee get on with it or you get a couple of people in who know the game to review the decisions. I know referees know the rules of the game but they are not streetwise and they have never kicked a ball in their lives. In my eyes you get a couple of people in who have played the game and in a minute they will know their decision. Get people in who understand the game.
