Everton are just finding their feet now...

Gyfli Sigurdsson tries to link up with Ben Godfrey in the box but he's falling over when he gets the return pass under pressure from Axel Tuanzebe.

He half-heartedly appeals for a penalty and there's a scramble before it's kicked away by Eric Bailly. Everton then win a free-kick about 25 yards out.

Gylfi Sigurdsson's corner is aimed at Dominic Calvert-Lewin. He beats Harry Maguire in the air but he can't generate enough power. It's comfortable for Dean Henderson.

Much better. Abdoulaye Doucoure wins the ball for Everton and Andre Gomes flicks it over to Seamus Coleman on the right (earning a cheer from the fans).

It eventually comes back over to the left but Alex Iwobi can't pick out Gylfi Sigurdsson before Eric Bailly clears it. Everton come straight back though and Sigurdsson wins a corner on the right.

Confusion at the back for United and Bruno Fernandes gives it away. Dominic Calvert-Lewin takes advantage, lays it off to Alex Iwobi on the left but he then gives it away again.

    Everton 0-0 Man Utd

Everton manage to win the ball in midfield and secure possession with a switch back to Michael Keane and onto Yerry Mina.

There's a roar from the Everton fans. They are trying to wake the team up a bit.

The corner comes through to Paul Pogba in the six-yard area and he's unmarked. He sees it very late and doesn't have time to react, instead flicking it tamely into Robin Olsen's arms.

    Everton 0-0 Man Utd

A rare chance for Everton to put a ball in the box but it's overcooked from Andre Gomes and there's nobody making the run at the back post.

Dean Henderson just lets it run out for a goal kick.

United go straight up the other end but Bruno Fernandes' cross just evades Edinson Cavani at the far side thanks to the slightest - but important of touches from Yerry Mina.

    I thought it was in!

Mason Greenwood picks up the pass from Harry Maguire in the middle and plays it left to Alex Telles. He swings a nice cross in and Greenwood's diving header bounces inches wide of the far post. Decent effort.

Michael Reid: United have been immense and now only missing the goal! This game has an Everton snatch and grab 1-0 all over it!

Uncle Busby: Even as a Red, that second Olsen save from Cavani was a worldie, hand like a brick wall

Ooh that's almost brilliant. Paul Pogba flicks a lovely ball over the top and into the box for Axel Tuanzebe to chase.

He almost gets there before being bundled out of the way by a combination of Michael Keane and Robin Olsen. Smart defending in the end and Keane hoofs it away.

Bruno Fernandes was Everton's chief tormentor when United beat Everton here last month and he's causing all sorts of bother again.

Such a good player to watch.

Hosts' keeper Robin Olsen looked like he could do with a swig of brandy after a nervy opening, but that double save to deny Edinson Cavani will have settled him down a bit.

Just as I write that... Pressure from Dominic Calvert-Lewin pays off and Gylfi Sigurdsson picks up the loose ball.

He dances past one, then two, defenders before his shot from close range is blocked at the near post. Great run!

Almost 20 minutes played. Genuinely can't think of a time when Dominic Calvert-Lewin touched the ball. Probably during the warm-up...

Michael Keane gets his head on another cross and it's picked up by Andre Gomes on the edge of his own box.

He does well to juggle it over the head of Edinson Cavani and wins a free-kick.

Paul Pogba finds Alex Telles on the left. He puts a good ball into the box for Edinson Cavani, who forces a smart save out of Robin Olsen at the back post with a nicely-timed volley. The keeper then reacts to deny him again on the rebound!

    It's ALL United.

Not sure what it was about but Nemanja Matic is NOT happy with Bruno Fernandes. The Serb pushed his team-mate in the chest before shouting to the bench.

Strange, I thought United had started alright?

Axel Tuanzebe tackles Ben Godfrey on the right touchline and sets Bruno Fernandes free in the box.

He slips it inside for Donny van de Beek but there's Everton bodies around. It almost falls for Edinson Cavani but Robin Olsen comes sliding out to intercept with his leg before finally getting both hands around it.
