  1. 'World-class performance'published at 22:02 British Summer Time 28 April 2021

    Paris St-Germain 1-2 Manchester City

Former Manchester City midfielder Owen Hargreaves on BT Sport: "A brilliant second-half performance. Fantastic. World-class performance. PSG were chasing shadows. Two away goals is the perfect result.

"Good game management, good on set-pieces. City are good when they can get high up the pitch. PSG looked like they ran out of steam."

  2. 'Pep gave some words of wisdom'published at 22:01 British Summer Time 28 April 2021

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

PSG were outstanding for half an hour on the first half but Manchester City have had some words of wisdom from their manager. They came out with a different body language, a different attitude, their danger players getting on the ball in the second half - and making the difference.

Very well managed by Manchester City.

Martin Tooth: Forget the ugliness of the ESL, that second-half by Man City was the beautiful game at its very finest. Mesmerising football at times.

Peter Umunna: I thought we'll be treated to a Neymar - Mbappe masterclass but they've been pretty ordinary. We must salute the tactical genius of Pep. This doesn't look like the side that tore Bayern Munich apart on the break. Maybe Poch isn't quite on that level yet.

Trevor Gladwin: Chances of an all-England final looking good?

  4. 'City upped the tempo'published at 22:00 British Summer Time 28 April 2021

    Paris St-Germain 1-2 Manchester City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a different Manchester City side in the second half. There was more tempo, more movement, they all enjoyed the ball more. PSG dropped off the pace, though. Mbappe and Neymar, we didn't see them second half at all.

    Man City were excellent.

Joleon Lescott on BT Sport: "When you're behind you can have a fearless aproach and that was the case. To get to the Etihad with the tie in your hands... PSG will have to play expansive football - and that could play into City's hands."

As last games go, that was pretty good. Manchester City in the Champions League was actually my first live text commentary, I think.

Maybe they'll win it once I'm done.

WHAT a second half for Manchester City and what a landmark win that could be.

Two away goals against a PSG side that looked the business in the first half.

    Final?

Well that would have done it - Kevin de Bruyne with a sizzler from range that takes a touch over the bar.

In the first half, Manchester City didn't show anything. Just that one shot by Phil Foden but apart from that, it was all PSG - and they looked like they were going to add to it. But second half, City have come out the blocks brilliantly.

Michael Devlin: This is what happens when you play Marseille and Nice each week rather than Manchester United and Liverpool.

Diego Pele: Does omission from today's starting lineup indicate Raheem Sterling will be on the move this summer? His stock has been falling with continuing rise of Phil Foden stock.

Imagine how good City will be when they sign Harry Kane.

Manchester City have settled for a 2-1 win in Paris it looks like. In the same way Anthony Hopkins has settled for the two Oscars.

Ah, that's brilliant from Phil Foden! What a run from outside to in, the ball velcroed to his toe as he dribbles past the last defender, he goes for the shot with the outside of his left foot and can't beat Keylor Navas.

    Electrifying run though.

  14. YELLOW CARDpublished at 86 mins

PSG crowd around the referee screaming for a red card after Kevin de Bruyne is late on Danilo but it's never a red that.

The referee doesn't bow to pressure though and it's rightly just a yellow.

Jake Lawson: So, would we describe PSG over the last 15 minutes as "Spursy"?

Callum Anderson: PSG's spectacular ability to bottle it and implode is something to behold, it really is.

Horrible, horrible "tackle". But how refreshing to see a player accept a referee's decision without arguing, despite the decision being obviously correct!

It's my first day in the office since November and someone has decided now is a great time to hoover the floor we are on. You don't get this disruption at home.

Can City find a third goal then? It's been one-way traffic in the second half. Riyad Mahrez slams a shot wide.

This is a big 10 minutes now because if PSG don't hang on and Manchester City get another goal, then that is the tie over.

Josh Earl: Big opportunity for City to kill the tie now & get 3 or 4.

Theo: This has been a mature team performance from City... grit and determination on evidence in this second half. PSG have literally lost the plot.

Andrew Mitchell: PSG are falling apart. Definitely the better team for an hour, and now behind, two away goals conceded and down to 10. What is happening?
