Hi. This is a note from tonight's football editor:

Tom Rostance, your live texter this evening, is much too proud and professional to make a song and dance, but today is his last ever day with BBC Sport.

It's almost exactly 10 years since Tom joined us, and since then he has brought to life World Cups, Champions League finals, Premier League moments and Olympic memories.

Most people in the country will have read Tom's work - you're reading it right now, so you're in the majority.

In short, he is brilliant and we will miss him. He's also nipped to the loo and doesn't know I'm publishing this...

If you'd like to wish him well, use the usual #bbcfootball or text on 81111.

    Good luck Tom!

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Manchester City

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

The difference between the two sides at the moment is PSG are getting the ball to players much quicker than Man City. They are bypassing players as City are trying to close them down.

City are allowing PSG to get back in, they are playing in a 4-4-2, and they just cannot break them down.

PSG are showing City how to play the game at pace.

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Manchester City

A great half of football. Elite.

PSG hold the advantage thanks to that Marquinhos header but City are still in it and had a good chance at the end.

    Refuel, refresh.

Had to go low. On second viewing though it's another doff of the virtual cap to Idrissa Gueye who burst every vessel in his body to get across and make a lunging attempt at the block.

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Manchester City

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Newcastle and England winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Great chance! First time we have seen Man City really press PSG. Phil Foden went for power instead of placing his shot into the bottom corner.

  10. CLOSE!published at 42 mins

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Manchester City

Ahhhh - huge chance for Phil Foden! And City may not get a better one.

Again they hunt the ball down high up the park and win it back on the right wing, they quickly square it to Foden in space inside the area, he concentrates on getting plenty of power on his strike but can only cannon the ball at Keylor Navas who pushes it away from above his head.

Low, and in the corner and that's 1-1...

  11. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 41 mins

    Paris St-Germain 1-0 Manchester City

I don't think there's much in this but PSG want a pen for a foul on Neymar, he goes to ground in a tangle of bodies. The build-up play from Alessandro Florenzi was superb though as he chipped it over a man. It was actually Riyad Mahrez making the tackle on Neymar.

Manchester City are not taking a gamble in and around the box like they do in the Premier League. Go on, take a gamble! Get yourself in those goalscoring positions. Bank on your team-mate getting the ball in there.

Those of you waiting for a moan at Neymar diving here's your chance, he's down and rolling around in pain. In fairness it's a firm challenge and he's holding the top of his arm.

    Think he's OK.

    It's only 1-0 though...

Kevin de Bruyne does brilliantly on the left of the area to beat his man and drag over a low cross but, guess what? There's nobody in the area for the chance and PSG clear.

Karl: Veratti is such a clever little player. Never loses the ball and is so intelligent on the ball.

PSG are on fire. City just don't see this quality of opposition in the Premier League. Riveting watch.

Kris Jefferson: The lack of striker is hurting City. Too often all their midfielders are pulling out wide, leaving a massive hole in the middle.

Paul 'Pops' Drinkwater: Regardless of the result I would have played an out and out striker for this game. Hopefully City can turn it around, but they have to have someone cause PSG's defence more trouble.
