To be fair, lads, I don't think many people expected it to hail like it did in May.

Can we talk about the state of the pitch? For a UCL semi final? With all City's money surely they have some underfloor heating!

    Jake

This match should not be taking place on a pitch like that. It's the semi final of the CL. Disgraceful.

    Ant, Bham.

PSG have been a real threat so far but Manchester City have that crucial breakthrough. Really good game on this slightly treacherous surface.

Man City 1-0 PSG (Agg: 3-1)

Can't take your eyes off this for a second. I don't want to, either. Makes a written live text a tad tricky!

There are little battles happening all over the pitch, antics and shenanigans.

Ander Herrera is booked for his reaction to a challenge with Bernardo Silva. He went down like a sack of spuds. Not sure why.

He maybe didn't need to rush to get that ball out as fast as he did Ederson. Bernardo Silva didn't want it to be honest with you five yards away from his own box with PSG having lots of players forward. Straight under pressure from Di Maria and he's put it wide.

Presnel Kimpembe is not in a good way. He went up with John Stones in the box and took an arm to the face.

He is a tough lad, though. Little bit of treatment and he's back into action. Takes more than that to take a man out of a Champions League semi.

From the sublime to the ridiculous.

Ederson rolls the ball out and it is nicked off a defender's toes by Di Maria, who looks to send the ball into the largely unguarded net but misses.

    Should have scored.

It's kicking off a bit now. Foden is penalised for handball, but I'm not sure it was. He's furious, so are his team-mates. It needs some cooler heads to calm the situation.

    You can't fault PSG's intent.

They are throwing as much as they can muster at City.

Marquinhos, who scored their goal in the first leg, is so close to repeat the trick in Manchester, with his header hammering against the bar.

City deal well with the corner, which is swung to the near post and cleared by De Bruyne.

PSG free-kick on the edge of the box. Neymar is tripped by Gundogan.

PSG look for a quick response. Diallo is found wide left but his low cross is straight at Ederson.

There are an awful lot of visiting players high up the pitch. A dangerous game.

Man City 1-0 PSG (Agg: 3-1)

What a pass from the keeper. Zinchenko knew it as well. Ederson pinged it to Zinchenko, he's off on his bike down the left wing and pulled it back to De Bruyne, his shot was blocked, Mahrez kept it alive and put it in the back of the net. That was a lightning break. One pass tore this PSG back line apart.

Man City 1-0 PSG (Agg: 3-1)

From a PSG point of view, this doesn't really change anything. They always had to score twice. Now, though, those hypothetical two goals will send this to extra-time and not them straight through to the final.

    Riyad Mahrez

    MASSIVE GOAL!

Riyad Mahrez has been on fire in this tie and he gives his side a huge second-leg lead to make it 3-1 on aggregate.

His finish is neat, low under the keeper from an angle in the box after the ball breaks to him following a De Bruyne shot.

The attack was made by Ederson, though. His long ball released Zinchenko down the left for a crucial pull-back.

That is an early warning shot, though. PSG have started on the front foot and City need to stand firm.

  20. 'Never a penalty'published at 20:10 British Summer Time 4 May 2021

Man City 0-0 PSG (Agg: 2-1)

Former Man Utd striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Never a penalty. It hit Zinchenko's shoulder blade right behind him. Never a penalty. The reaction of the PSG players... eight of them had their arms in the air. The referee's overturned it and that's a great decision, never a penalty.
