  4. 'Lindelof has to be stronger'published at 20:32 British Summer Time 26 May 2021

    Villarreal 1-0 Man Utd

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd and Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is OK having all the possession. The line is fine from Manchester United, but Victor Lindelof is just pushed off it by Gerard Moreno, who just wants it more.

Lindelof has got to be stronger there, keep the ball in front of you, don't let it go behind you. It is a good finish and a good cross.

    Gerard Moreno

Villarreal take the lead as Gerard Moreno scores his 30th goal of the season.

    Poor defending too.

Dani Parejo lifts in a free-kick from deep and Moreno runs in between Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof and stabs home a half-volley. Lindelof was even pulling his jersey but couldn't stop him.

Manchester United just need to move the ball a bit quicker - one and two touch - and I believe they'll be able to create more chances.

Jake Dark: Villarreal already sitting very deep and running the clock down - worrying to see as a United fan as these are the teams we struggle against the most!

Gareth: Unbelievable that #Villarreal already time-wasting in the 22nd minute!!

David de Gea gets away with one here. The Manchester United keeper's clearance lands straight to Manu Trigueros about 45 yards out but they can't make anything out of it.

    This game is pretty good.

Villarreal have another chance now but 18-year-old Yeremi Pino blasts a low drive just wide from the edge of the box.

Three shots each so far but that Marcus Rashford effort was the first one on target.

Villarreal keeper Geronimo Rulli takes a cross well now under pressure from Bruno Fernandes.

United break then and Mason Greenwood plays a good ball into Edinson Cavani, who can't get a shot in.

No such problems for Marcus Rashford who hammers in a long-range effort but it's straight at the keeper.

Villarreal will have to be careful with Juan Foyth. It was a bad collision with Paul Pogba's knee and the blood that just came out of his nose was non-stop and his head is bandaged too.

Manchester United are playing well, but Villarreal are organised.

    United's full-backs are involved now.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross is headed away by Raul Albiol - but only into the path of Luke Shaw.

He flashes a shot-cross across the box which Bruno Fernandes can't turn in.

    Villarreal 0-0 Man Utd

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

It has been a good game to watch so far.

Manchester United can't panic, they've got to be patient. This will really test the maturity of where they are as a team.

Edinson Cavani drops back well into midfield to win the ball for United - and he ends up winning it back near the corner flag after a team-mate loses it.

He's clattered onto the ground but doesn't win a free-kick.

    Good grafting.
