Do Everton take Kepa on loan to replace Pickford? Or is that too much of a gamble?

    Em, Newcastle

Brighton really missing Duffy's height at the back.

    Tommy, Derry

Pickford's a joke. A running, repeated unfunny joke. None of the defenders trust him, understandably, and it undermines us at the back. Please get rid.

Former Everton midfielder on Final Score

The goal has inspired Everton to come back into life. After the equaliser they went a bit flat, but they’ve picked up the levels again and forced Brighton on the back foot.

It’s a delicious free-kick. Everton’s centre-backs are absolutely huge, you’d expect them to be in the penalty area getting a few goals this season.

There's a whole bunch of Everton players in there! All attacking the ball and they're all celebrating together. I thought Everton were beginning to lose it but this shows you what a threat Everton are in the air now. Great header by Mina.

If you’re a Premier League goalkeeper you need to do better than that. It’s almost schoolboy-like. The first ball he doesn’t catch, but then he tries to retrieve the ball. It’s all very odd.

It all sucks the confidence out of the back four. When the back four starts to lose confidence in your goalkeeper, that’s serious. There’s a question mark about their goalkeeper now.

I think Mat Ryan is a better goalkeeper than Jordan Pickford.

That's a dreadful error! Really poor. There was no power in it at all. I know the conditions are bad out there but as a goalkeeper at any standard, you just have to grab that one!

A mistake by Jordan Pickford and Brighton are level!

Leandro Trossard hits a shot into the ground from Tariq Lamptey's great cross and the awkward bounce catches out Pickford, who spills the ball for Neal Maupay to hook in.

Leandro Trossard has been quiet and it's been difficult for him to get possession in the final third. It's a much more open game now. Brighton have obviously had to come out since Everton have scored and they have a little bit more.
