What a waste. Sheffield United have a free-kick in the City half, close to halfway, but Sander Berge belts it over everyone in the box and out for a goal-kick.

Craig: Pep's idea of reverting to 5 subs could be achieved if you can make 2 half-time substitutions. Then you have 3 additional substitutions left during the game, be it an injury or tactical to be used in either half.
Yemi: Is Ramsdale a good enough goalkeeper to keep Sheffield up? I mean he got relegated with Bournemouth. Has a relegated goalkeeper ever kept another team in the league the following season?

Here we go again...

Ryan Nurse: My abiding memory of this game will always be a match against Tottenham where we went behind, then equalised before the virtual crowd had even finished cheering. Cue the most beautifully-timed rendition of "You're not singing anymore!" that I've ever heard.
Trundandle: My 97-98 CM memories are firing through the seasons by simming each game, ending up in something like 2084 with Michael Owen still starting up top for me.
Ian: I always managed Northampton Town in CM97-98 despite not supporting them, never having been to Northampton and having no connection the town. I remember signing Marco Gabbiadini in the game, then they signed him in real life a few years later!
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Man City have scored 53 PL goals from outside the box under Guardiola, more than any other team since the start of 2016/17.
This is an interesting stat. Your archetypal City goal always seems like the cut-back from the byline and close-range finish.
But then, when you score more than most teams I guess you'll net a lot of screamers too.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Joao Cancelo is the first Manchester City defender to create as many as five chances in the first half of a PL game since Aleksandar Kolarov vs Blackburn in February 2012.

Victor Kathuri: Sterling has been a menace in this game, it had to be him breaking that Blades defence. The moment that pass left KDB's boot all I could see were acres of space & gaps.
The first song to fill Bramall Lane after the whistle blows is the theme tune to James Bond, followed by Goldfinger. You may not be aware but the very first official on-screen Bond and Hollywood legend, Sean Connery, has died today at the age of 90.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
City have dominated, in some pretty dire conditions at times. They lead through Kyle Walker's goal - against his former club. But the Blades aren't out of it and showed tiny flashes of their threat towards the end of the half.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
United's best spell of the game now, as regards territory at least. They have swung in a couple of crosses - one from each side - but neither have tested the City defence.

The Missing Man: The only thing Sheffield United are taking from this game is De Bruyne's shirt.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Another City chance goes begging. The away side sweep the length of the field on the counter before Cancelo hangs up a ball to Torres deep in the box. He volleys first time, but the ball can't find it's way through the gathered mass of home defenders.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
First real chance for the home side. Baldock swings over a cross from the right and Rhian Brewster rises but can't quite get enough height in his leap to plant a header at goal, with the ball glances of his bonce.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
De Bruyne keeps loading bullets. He swings in a free-kick from deep that is perfect for Torres, but his header deflects behind.
From the resulting corner, also supplied by the Belgian, a City head gets there but can't steer the ball goalwards.
And what's this? Sunshine?!
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Sheffield United force a couple of corners, Kyle Walker heading the first behind under pressure, before Ruben Dias gets up to nod away the second.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Ramsdale is tested - by a low drive from De Bruyne that fires under the jumping final man in the wall - but he is equal to it, dropping to his knees to gather.
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Torres is hauled down by Egan on the edge of the box. Get yourself ready Aaron Ramsdale...
Sheffield United 0-1 Man City
Raheem Sterling is terrorising Sheffield United down the City left. George Baldock can't get near him.
He drives again and beats his man before playing in a low ball for Torres, but the forward can't quite get a turn and shot in.
Kyle Walker
Back to haunt the Blades.
Kyle Walker, back at the club where it all started for him, hammers a low drive that Aaron Ramsdale cannot prevent finding the bottom corner. It came from a Kevin de Bruyne cross-field pass after Raheem Sterling had broken superbly into United territory.
It was coming.
