That's just a freak accident. It could be the warm up - Ross Barkley's muscles could still be cold.

It changes the dynamic to Aston Villa going forward. They will have to adjust.

And the substitutions issue comes up again.

Ollie Watkins was just waiting for his chance. He's strong and powerful but he needed to go to a club where he would play.

He gets his chances and he takes them. The more he plays, the more chemistry he builds with his team-mates - with more and more games he'll be brilliant.

He's definitely one for the future.

Everyone’s in love with Jack Grealish.

That could be the challenge when everyone’s not. When things go against you. I know a couple of things about that.

Having watched him last season and the way he carried his team, he was the creative influence, at times he was the only one that looked like scoring.

Now he’s got his boys around him, who he wants to play with. Now they looks like a great side to watch.

  15. 'There is improvement and work to be done'published at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    Newcastle 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm pleased. It's a tough match to come here after the international break, the players have all been away.

"We dominated the game, we could have scored more goals. But the lads dealt with it very well.

"We lost here last year so it's good progression to come here and get the right result.

"We've all seen these games before, Newcastle became more positive at the start of the second half, their press was more progressive.

"But as long as Timo has the pace and positive nature he showed for Tammy' s goal then that's a big threat for us

"You are always tested in different ways in these league, balance is really important and, we are working towards that.

"We have to think about the big picture and there is improvement and work to be done.

"We need the squad, we need everybody. It's a grueling season as everyone keeps saying and it's good for the team's confidence that we got another clean sheet."

  16. 'Brighton need forward partnership'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Aston Villa v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

Brighton need to go on a run. I think they lack a cutting edge, but I think Danny Welbeck might give them that.

Something has happened between Neal Maupay and the manager, Graham Potter. I'm not sure what it is but I hope it doesn't affect his football.

I hope Maupay, Welbeck, and Adam Lallana can form a partnership because they can cause anyone a problem. If they can unlock the back door, Brighton will be fine.

  17. 'Where's Brighton's goal scorer?'published at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Aston Villa v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

When I look at a side I like to be able to know what’s their X Factor, where are they getting their goals?

I just think with Brighton, it’s a little bit hit and miss. They have lovely build-up play, but no final product.

If they can get a little bit more consistent with that, then that’s when they can get a little bit better.

  18. 'Next question for Grealish is whether he wants to win things'published at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

Aston Villa v Brighton (15:00 GMT)

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

Jack Grealish is talented and we've always known that.

The question was: could he do it on the big stage? It appears he can. The next question is: will he stay at Aston Villa, or will he want to win things? If he wants to win things, he probably has to move on.

He's a top four player. He has a question to ask himself. This season he has been outstanding.

He kept Villa up last season. Their signings have made them a team that is going to be taken seriously.

  20. 'There will always be grumbles'published at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 21 November 2020

    Newcastle 0-2 Chelsea

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce speaking to BT Sport: "I just thought our best spell in the game was when we conceded the second.

"They had possession and had a big chance after that. We had one or two opportunities but didn't take them

"Maybe in the first half we were a little too deep at times.

"They’re a very, very good side and like I said, when you go high up the pitch they can really hurt you

"There will always be grumbles. We had some important players missing. But Chelsea are a very good team.

"Second half there were one or two details. We had three good opportunities, and against the big teams, you’ve got to take them."
