Wesley Fofana has been superb for Leicester this season but is a bit all over the place just now as he first misses his attempted clearance from a long ball to let in Sadio Mane, he then swings a wild boot to try and stop the striker, risking a possible foul but finally manages to get in the way of Mane's shot to take the sting out of it.

There is no doubt that Liverpool have been the better team.

It was a very strange goal to give them the lead, but the Harvey Barnes chance was just absolutely massive for Leicester.

More good work by James Justin as he clips the ball in to Jamie Vardy, who is lurking at the near post but Fabinho gets across to put behind before Vardy can think what to do from that position.

Both sides are showing good attacking intent. There's more goals in this one.

Liverpool are giving Leicester City's some real trouble - although the goal was bizarre. Not sure how Jonny Evans did that.

It makes the miss from Harvey Barnes even more significant. The Foxes simply have to take opportunities like that.

Leicester shut the door on Diogo Jota and then counter quickly as Jamie Vardy knocks the ball through the Liverpool defence and looks to have the pace to get to it first but Alisson pops up from nowhere to clear.

Just how quickly Liverpool are moving the ball is very, very impressive.

They're not giving Leicester a sniff in midfield.

Craig: Jota has filled in for Salah, Mane and Firmino this season. And looked as good as any of them.

Leicester are really struggling to deal with set pieces as Liverpool are again not far off from a corner, this time Joel Matip glancing a header over the bar.

Liverpool are in control at the moment, but Leicester can get the ball forward in seconds.

Leicester really should be level as Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes link up well, with the former teeing up Barnes inside the box but the winger skews his shot wide. Should have done better.

Urban Bourbon: personally delighted Klopp has an opportunity to demonstrate the squad he has put together. Despite several key players missing, they're looking pretty ominous to me.

Liverpool have the ball in the net again soon after but it is immediately wiped out as Diogo Jota helped a cross in with his hand.

Still, a great start by Liverpool who are well worth their lead.

Liverpool are dominating the possession now and Andy Robertson does really well to knock the ball down the left wing and past a Leicester player. He chases it, feeds Roberto Firmino on the edge of the box but in the end the hosts are forced backwards by the Leicester defence.

Kire Chilembwe: How Liverpool got Diogo Jota just like that baffles me. He's such a marvel to watch.

Jamie Vardy points for where he wants the ball to be played - got to be careful with that one, just ask Patrick Bamford - but the Liverpool defence has his run covered off and collect the ball over the top.

How comfortable does Jota look already.

There's always pressure regardless of your price tag, but he just looks already like he has been at Anfield for two or three years.

He can play in any one of those three attacking roles too.
