Michael Devlin: That felt like a season-changing win for United

Christopher Holliday: I seem to remember back in 2012 a certain Robin van Persie digging us out of a similar hole, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-2 comeback win at St Mary's. If Cavani can match RVP’s debut season...

Aleksandar Todorov: Great turnaround by Manchester United. Southampton gutted for sure. Anyone else feeling some Fergie time vibes?

    Southampton

Southampton's Jan Bednarek speaking to Sky Sports: "I think the first half was perfect for us. We did what we wanted but the second half was a little bit too sloppy. We let them feel like they could get something and in the end we didn't defend good enough. The opposition was very strong in front.

"As you can see, you have to be alive all the time as he just needs a few metres of space to score a goal. We need to analyse that. We are in the right place, right moment but we have to be humble to work hard and not lose a game like this. It wasn't good enough today.

"We have to analyse all the games. It doesn't matter if we lose or win. We will see what is wrong and next week we will do it better and become stronger.

"We are just working hard. Everything is clear for us. We are all sticking together. We are strong mentally."

PJ: What a game!! The UNITED of old win the comeback win in injury time as well!! Great performance by El Matador!

Ashic: Wonder what the OGS naysayers are saying now... There was another manager who used to make super substitutions... one of which was often OGS himself... Wonder who that manager was...

Josh Earl: what a comeback, what a win!! El Matador absolutely deadly!!

Now I want to know what was said in that dressing room at half time.

Nemanja Matic was much better in the second half, Bruno Fernandes stepped up, Marcus Rashford was a threat and for Southampton, it just went wrong.

Edinson Cavani changed the momentum in just 45 minutes.

Only Lionel Messi (435), Cristiano Ronaldo (421) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (253) have scored as many goals in Europe's top five leagues as Edinson Cavani (253) since he made his Serie A debut for Palermo on 11 March 2007.

    Class is permanent.

Edinson Cavani is only the second player to be directly involved in 3+ goals in a Premier League game after coming on as a substitute for Man Utd (2 goals, 1 assist), after current manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored four against Nottingham Forest in February 1999.

    Handing over the baton.

    What a substitution!

The impact that Edinson Cavani has had has potentially won United this game. It was a quick free kick.

Marcus Rashford has drilled in a lively cross ball and Cavani has gone across everyone, no one picked him up he has had to keep really low.

It wasn't the greatest of headers but everyone was switched off and nobody expected it.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer is going berserk as he knows what a combeack that has been.

    He has done it again!

They've done it! At the death!

It is Edinson Cavani again, with a brilliant, stooping header to divert Marcus Rashford's cross into the bottom corner past McCarthy.

What a change that was at the break from Solskjaer.

We're going to have five minutes of stoppage time, which we are now into.

Fernandes gets very ambitious, with a chip from range that is designed to catch McCarthy out but floats over the top.

Marcus Rashford should have hit the shot, Fred wasn't ready for it and Rashford should have pulled the trigger.

Another good oportunity missed and Rashford's decision-making hasn't been on the money today.

Gavin Simpson: Cavani is clearly the best centre forward at Man Utd. I have had him in my @OfficialFPL, external team for a couple of weeks now and that patience is going to be rewarded.

Ben Kellow: A draw is not good enough United need to win this

Niall Devlin: Some United fans really are an overdramatic bunch. Someone saying Fred isn't good enough when he's been instrumental to Fernandes' success + a lot of the big games utd have won. As for the guy not rating Rashford, give us a break. To have his stats at 23 is obscene!
