Jose Mourinho would have hated every minute of that wouldn't he?

    Here he is.

Amol Raval: Say what you want about Man United's attacking prowess, the defence is still bad and they've given Leeds a lot of open space. A better team would have scored 3 easily. United definitely need a good CB in January

Hang on to your hats folks. Here comes a 4-4 thriller...

    Manchester United 4-1 Leeds United

This is a bit like a 5-a-side game, not a great deal of tracking back and quite often it's man on man when the ball changes hands.

Marcus Rashford runs at the back pedalling Leeds defence and has a shot deflected wide.

Rashford then hits another shot from range and Illan Meslier gets down well to save.

What a wonderful header! It's an outswinger, he has to generate so much power from the penalty spot. Can they get back in it?

The armchair football fan: Expected Leeds to lose comfortably today but this is really bad. How naive is Bielsa to think this was a good game plan away to United? And their set piece defending...thanks for coming, enjoy the championship

Simon Hayes: That's not even school kid defending! I'm certain my u8s wouldn't defend a corner like that!

Aditya Thakkar: What? How? Since WHEN?!!

    It's catching!

Manchester United now decide not to bother marking at a corner and Liam Cooper is able to head down and in off the post.

    Comeback on?

    Manchester United 4-0 Leeds United

This is Leeds' 482nd Premier League game - and first in which they have conceded four first-half goals.

I might be bringing the brackets out again at this rate.

Nine goals conceded from set pieces, Kalvin Phillips switched off completely. Lindelof got free, didn’t expect it, opened his body up and side-footed in. United saw Liverpool score seven – do they want to go one better? Defensively, Leeds are very poor.

Leeds could have done with Lucas Radebe there. Richard Jobson would have done.

    Victor Lindelof (37 mins)

Well this is getting silly now!

That is a dreadful goal to concede. Anthony Martial heads on a corner, there's not a Leeds shirt in sight as Victor Lindelof has most of the penalty area to himself and he fires in from close range.

    Pathetic defending!

Leeds defending, or lack of, leaves them on a knife edge all the time. Stuart Dallas has to slide at full stretch to prevent Marcus Rashford a clear run on goal.

  13. CLOSE!published at 34 mins

    Manchester United 3-0 Leeds United

Leeds threaten again from a corner, Raphinha lashes in a low shot and David de Gea does well to save with his feet. It wouldn't have counted as Jack Harrison was offside and right in front of him but it's a good save all the same.

Ezgjan Alioski lashes in a shot but it's easily charged down. Leeds continue to dominate the ball but yeah, it's one thing doing that at 3-0 down isn't it.

I swear Manchester United are in cahoots with Boris Johnson to make me miserable this Christmas

    Tiny Tim

Ha, defending is boring. Lets all be exciting like Leeds. Oh, wait a minute, relegation you say? Turns out that defending is actually a part of successful football. Fancy that!

Stuart Dallas now moves through the Manchester United defence and puts in a low cross which Aaron Wan-Bissaka just about clears and Luke Shaw then puts it out for a corner.

  20. CLOSE!published at 25 mins

Stranger things have happened than a Leeds comeback here. They are actually on top in terms of the pattern of the game. Patrick Bamford now heads over, another presentable chance!
