Wow! What a strike, counter attacking football! James wins it initially, Fernandes knew exactly where Fred was but the ball broke back to Fernandes on a tight angle and he smashed it into the far corner.

    Bruno Fernandes (20 mins)

Blimey! What an odd side the Manchester United of 2020 are. Capable of flurries like this - they were excellent in the second-half at West Ham - but often so underwhelming as well.

They have blown Leeds away in the early stages as yet again they carve through far too easily. Luke Ayling gets a foot in to stop Anthony Martial in his tracks but the ball runs into the path of Bruno Fernandes and he positively slams into the back of the net from about 12 yards or so.

I just don't get the argument from some United fans that Mourinho is a better manager than Solskjær. Look at Spurs earlier, then look at your own team. Oh, and Pogba is not a bad player either.

    The Red Squirrel

As a Man Utd fan, this a strange new experience to have taken the lead first in a match. I'm scared.

Leeds now do have the ball in the net, Patrick Bamford blamming in a loose ball but he knew he was offside - had a quick look over and indeed the flag was raised.

    Promising though.

Anyway, back to the game and Leeds attack down their right and win a corner. Can they fight back?

Leeds have not been in the game at all aside from that one chance for Bamford.

Has there been a more unlikely hat-trick scorer in the Premier League than if Scott McTominay gets another?

In the 2 minutes it's taken me to get in from the car and take my coat off, McTominay's scored twice for us? Where did that come from?

I think a 9-6 might go down as a bit of a surprise but yep, there does feel like there's a bagful of goals in this.

Defending is not either team's strength.

James Beswick: Oh my word. Twinkle toes from McTominay, what a touch. If things had gone differently, this could've been the first game with some fans back in OT. Will have to make do with scaring the neighbours.

Kit Beaupre: I wouldn’t be surprised if this finishes 9-6

Scott McTominay is the first player in Premier League history to score twice in the first three minutes of a match.

He'd only scored six in the previous 68 appearances.

Now Marcus Rashford weaves inside and gets a shot off and it's charged down.

And indeed Leeds probably should be on the scoresheet! Kalvin Phillips with the slide pass into the run of Patrick Bamford, onside and away from Victor Lindelof, and he squirts it wide.

Leeds do actually recover pretty well, one dangerous cross is hacked out by Luke Shaw and then Patrick Bamford goes close to threatening with a looping header.

This could be about 5-5 tonight.

What a start! Good clever move from Martial, the pass and the run is brilliant. A reverse pass from Martial, McTominay has a lovely left-footed finish - what a goal! Brilliant start from Man United.

Who is this ringer Manchester United have got in midfield?!

Scott McTominay has scored his annual quota of goals in the first three minutes!

Wow. Again it comes from a throw, Anthony Martial plays it into McTominay's surging run from midfield and his finish is once again exceptional. Left foot this time, hard and low and in.

They won the ball back high on the left and it was the weight of pass from Fernandes. It swerved away from the goalkeeper - great strike!
