    Quote Message

The game isn't really flowing and United will probably be happy to have disrupted Rangers

  2. Postpublished at 52 mins

    Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

Alfredo Morelos has a go with a dipping, angled shot and it bounces a few feet wide of the target.

  3. Postpublished at 50 mins

    Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

Rangers taking a lot of touches to find their rhythm again, United camped in. Just like most of the first half.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

Here we go for the second half.

  5. United pay for poor markingpublished at 13:02 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    HT: Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

Rangers responded well to the equaliser and were building up a head of steam just before the interval.

However, United were guilty of going to sleep as Connor Goldson was given a free run to nod in James Tavernier's free kick.

  6. How did that squeeze in?published at 13:01 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    HT: Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

Liam Smith scored his first Dundee United goal to level things and it too was a very good finish.

The angle was almost Marco van Basten-esque, although it fizzed in low from the bye-line and clattered in off the far post.

  7. Morelos 'gets away with it'published at 12:59 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    HT: Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Morelos is lucky. He looks at Connolly, and he's jumping and doesn't have to throw his arm out, but catches him in the face. He gets away with it.

  8. Morelos fortunate to avoid red?published at 12:55 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    HT: Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

The replays of the challenge that earned Alfredo Morelos a booking do not look good for the Rangers striker.

He leads with an elbow and isn't paying too much attention to where the ball is.

  9. Tavernier strike will take some toppingpublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    HT: Dundee United 1-2 Rangers

There have been a few talking points so far, but the highlight has been a quite wonderful goal from James Tavernier.

The free-kick was from a central position, around 30 yards out, and the Rangers skipper sent it curling into the top corner of the net.

That's goal number 17 this season for the full-back.

    Dunduee United 1-2 Rangers

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's too easy. We said that United need to make Rangers work for every opportunity, but that's too easy. You can't allow a central defender to get in front of you and get the header

  16. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 35 mins

    Dundee United 1-1 Rangers

  17. 'High quality' half-volley from Smithpublished at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2020

    Dundee United 1-1 Rangers

    Billy Dodds
Former Scotland striker on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

The two goals we've seen today have been of the highest quality. Liam Smith has so much to do, it's a side-foot half volley from a really tight angle.

  18. goal

GOAL Dundee United 1-1 Rangerspublished at 33 mins

    Liam Smith

    Another cracking finish!

Jamie Robson hammers over a cross from the left and Liam Smith comes haring in at the far post area. The angle is tight. Really tight. But the first-time effort strikes the front post and goes in.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 31 mins

    Dundee United 0-1 Rangers

Kemar Roofe is almost through as the United defence starts to creak under growing pressure but goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist is out bravely to block at the striker's feet.

  20. Postpublished at 29 mins

    Dundee United 0-1 Rangers

Marc McNulty does well to swing in a cross from the right and it looks like Lawrence Shankland is going to get there first as he races in at the front post.

However, the United striker fails to get any contact on the ball at all.
