  1. CLOSE!published at 78 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Southampton keep on coming, it's so finely poised. Shane Long wins a header, it's cut back and James Ward-Prowse arrives on it. He would surely find the net if he wasn't put under pressure by a great sliding challenge and he nerfs it wide.

At least one more goal in this surely...

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

James Maddison is not happy as he's replaced, Ayoze Perez comes on, who scored a bagful in the result that shall not be mentioned.

  3. Off the line!published at 75 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

And now Leicester nearly get the second goal, this could be a great last 15 minutes. Harvey Barnes fires across goal, but that man Jan bednarek is back to head it away. Great cover.

Giles Brooks: Have Southampton modelled their away shirt on Peru from the 1978 World Cup?

Considering Saints have had the lowest net spend of any premier League team over the last five years it's incredible how well they've done.

  5. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 73 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

It's all going on! Southampton think they've got a penalty but the offside flag saves Leicester!

Stuart Armstrong crashes in a shot which hits the bar, brilliant strike, Shane Long goes in for the rebound and is bundled over.

Would be a penalty, 100%, but Long was offside...

  6. Postpublished at 70 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Great play from Jan Bednarek to get back and prevent Jamie Vardy from running in on goal yet again. He's on the edge!

    Southampton send on Shane Long.

  7. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

You can keep him out of the game for 90, even 95% of it but he's always a threat. Jamie Vardy finds space in the area to crash in another header but it's over the top again.

  8. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Into the last 25 or so minutes we go then. Southampton have had more efforts on target than their hosts tonight but can they conjure up another good chance?

  9. Postpublished at 63 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Jamie Vardy loops a header over but he was never in control of that before he does finally get some space to run into.

Southampton's backline covers him well though, nowhere to go. In the end he shoots but it's well blocked.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 61 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Will Smallbone gets another kick, on his foot this time. And he's tapping out.

    On comes Dan N'Lundulu.

  11. Postpublished at 58 mins

Both players are carrying on. The game has gone scrappy as now Ryan Bertrand is booked for stopping a throw-in from being taken.

  12. ouch!

A nasty looking knock of knees has a player down for each side here.

Will Smallbone looks in a bad way. He's up now though.

Gareth Smith: Saints have started the second half well here, playing some lovely stuff. Walcott and co letting the side down.

  14. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Southampton are bossing possession at the moment, Leicester are being forced to defend in numbers.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 52 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Wesley Fofana caught a nasty one on his ankle in the first half and maybe it's causing him some grief. He comes off and on comes Çaglar Söyüncü.

  16. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Ibrahima Diallo pulls back James Maddison and Leicester's players are quick to point out to the ref that he's already been booked.

Should he have had another? He lives to see another minute.

  17. CLOSE!published at 46 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

Great start to the half from Southampton! Stuart Armstrong drives through the heart of midfield, finds Will Smallbone on his left and he hits a curling shot which Kasper Schmeichel pushes out.

It comes to Theo Walcott but he can't sort his feet in time and it bounces away off his shins.

  18. KICK-OFFpublished at 45 mins

    Leicester 1-0 Southampton

    I probably shouldn't comment.

    We're back up and running!

Kevin: Clear foul on Diallo before the goal and VAR doesn’t have a look? So inconsistent.

Wale Ibraheem: This social distancing celebration looks ridiculous. Football is a game of contact, players hold each other every time at set pieces and all through the game. Why can't they celebrate the goal together?

Jasdip Singh: What a mockery. Football is allowed to be played, where footballers are almost always near another players, yet they aren't supposed to celebrate together?

  20. 'We can't let defeats kill us'published at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2021

    Fulham 0-1 Chelsea

    Fulham

Fulham manager Scott Parker says he is not overly worried at what other teams do after his side lost following wins for relegation rivals West Brom and Brighton.

"We brush ourselves down, we can't let too many defeats kill us - and it won't. We're a positive and committed group," he tells Sky Sports.

"At this moment of time, we have to concentrate on ourselves. The season is almost halfway through and we have to keep growing. We can't control what Brighton, Burnley and all the other teams do.

"We have to focus on our performances."
