Manchester City 3-0 Crystal Palace
Into the last five and I think City have declared at three. Though Phil Foden almost gets a shot away but Vicente Guaita gets it first.

Liz Tray: Well, this is a lot going on. We are, first, fortunate that Zaha isn't playing. And secondly that Ferna is - he's 10 times the player Rodri is, let's be honest. And finally, boy am I glad I got Stones in FPL.
Ethiopia Link: That looks more like the old Stones. What is scary about this City team is that they're not conceding goals easily any more and they have qualities in the middle, and at the front. My prime candidate to win all the domestic trophies, plus the Champions League

into the last 10 minutes.
It's worth pointing out again that Crystal Palace are rock solid in midtable this season. Even with defeat here they are 11 points clear of trouble.
If he gets one, he's a good bet for another - John Stones has scored the third brace of his senior career for club and country. Sep 2017 vs Feyenoord (Champions League), June 2018 vs Panama (World Cup), Jan 2021 vs Crystal Palace (Premier League).

Daniel Quirk: Who needs Aguero when you have John Stones
Jeffs: The last time Stones scored twice England were on their way to hammering Panama 6-1. I miss those days

Last centre-half to score a hat-trick?
That's John Stones level with Christopher Wreh, Clyde Wijnhard and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in the all-time list.

Incredible that he gets another goal. I thought Ruben Dias would be a threat from set pieces, he rose really well and got first contact and it was a good save from the keeper but John Stones, natural striker that he is now, just caresses the ball into the net. He's on for a hat-trick!

Manchester City celebrate that third goal by giving KDB a rest. What a performance.
Ilkay Gundogan also comes off with Joao Cancelo and Ferran Torres on.
John Stones (68 mins)
He's got another!
It's a third goal from a corner for Manchester City, which is not what you expect necessarily when you come to the Etihad.
Ruben Dias wins the header, Vicente Guaita keeps it out but John Stones is alive to it and rips in a left-footed shot from 12 yards.
Manchester City 2-0 Crystal Palace
This second half is real hard work for Palace, they've been pinned in for long periods. That's what City can do to you.
Raheem Sterling is played in by KDB once again and Luka Milivojevic makes a crunching challenge in the area and gets it spot on.
Manchester City 2-0 Crystal Palace
Phil Foden is nearly away on goal with his first touch but he loses his footing before Kevin de Bruyne curls wide from 20 yards.
The Belgian great is having a great game.
Manchester City 2-0 Crystal Palace
Ilkay Gundogan has scored four goals in his last six Premier League games, as many as he'd managed in his previous 55.

Palace cleared their lines really well but the ball is just under Andros Townsend who couldn't get it away. Ilkay Gundogan just nicks it, takes a touch, brings it back on his right foot under pressure, four players coming to him. He puts it right into the far top corner, outside the area it curls all the way round into the top corner. It's a fabulous finish.
Manchester City 2-0 Crystal Palace
Almost a third straight away as Palace play the kick-off back to their keeper and he takes a bad touch - Gabriel Jesus nicks it off him but Palace get back to clear.
Ilkay Gundogan (56 mins)
Wow!
What a goal that is! Another one from the second phase of a corner, it's headed out towards the edge of the area where Ilkay Gundogan is able to move the ball away from Andros Townsend and then whallop the ball into the top corner.
Vicente Guaita gets a touch to it but it's hit incredibly hard.

Raheem Sterling delivers the ball in that corridor between goalkeeper and six yard area - that's one for Bernardo Silva. When you don't do it all of the time you don't always make that run you expect it to be cut back and he doesn't get there and there was a goal for him.
Manchester City 1-0 Crystal Palace
Fernandinho is tackled by referee Lee Mason but bounces off him, John Stones flips the ball out to Raheem Sterling on the right and his cross is a good one - nobody there.
Palace have hardly had a touch since the resumption.
Manchester City 1-0 Crystal Palace
Raheem Sterling is having more joy on the right since that switch. He now wins a corner.
