Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, as brilliant as they have been, they are not quite on it. The devastating crosses that you normally see from both right and left, we just haven't seen at all.

It's a poor delivery. Really poor. Brady floats it harmlessly through the box and out for a goal kick.

Barnes does a good job, charging into Liverpool territory and drawing a foul from Thiago. A chance to deliver.

Serge: TAA completely out of sorts. Such a drop in quality. Unbelievable.

Pope is such a good keeper. So solid. Alexander-Arnold drives a low shot that the Burnley keeper is behind to stop. There is a slight risk of the ball coming loose to Mane so he kicks it away sharpish. Great reactions.

Shame for Taylor, who is such a consistent performer, but one who has been unlucky with his fitness of late. Pieters is on. A very able deputy.

Oh, yeah, looks like he's twisted his ankle. Dyche is taking no risks. Erik Pieters is coming on.

Burnley full-back Charlie Taylor is only just back from injury but he is down on the turf now after making a clearance. Has he tweaked something?

Mo Salah has a few layers off. He may not be coming on right now, but you can tell he's getting himself in the zone.

Here we go again. Big 45 minutes for both sides. We've had no changes at the break.

Divock Origi's chance could have been - and should have been - the opening goal. He got everything right until he decided to smash it, instead of trying to curl it around Nick Pope.

Burnley have had the odd chance themselves but Liverpool, like the last three or four games, just not quite at it. Different personnel, same outcome.

BR: Fabinho a very lucky guy to still be on the pitch Good job Thiago got to him before Mike Dean.

John Rushton: Origi will always be a Liverpool legend, but he's really just not good enough even for our bench.

Liverpool had 13 shots in the opening 45 minutes against Burnley; their most in the first half a Premier League game without scoring since December 2017 v Leicester City (also 13).

Jurgen Klopp v Sean Dyche?! I would've paid money to see that!!

Ben: I'm now less worried about our midfielders playing in defence. It's more about what we are now missing in midfield because of it.

Looks like Klopp and Dyche had a little disagreement in the tunnel after that Fabinho/Barnes incident. Feisty.

Who we backing in that fight then?

You're not kidding Lawro, that was a pretty flat, uninspiring 45 minutes.

Burnley won't mind, though. Not one bit.

Right decision to give Fabinho a yellow card. One of the best bits of excitement we've had in the game!

Don't think there is anything in this. Barnes and Fabinho challenge for the ball and the former goes down. Did he even push him at all?

VAR has had a few looks at it and the upshot is a booking for Fabinho. Weird.

Jurgen Klopp had sprinted off down the tunnel, but all that nonsense drew him back out.
