When I saw the goal live, Gareth Bale did look offside...

No, watching the replay he's definitely onside, the defender plays him on. He times the run brilliantly and a clever finish. He could've had four goals already tonight!

    Gareth Bale (45+1 mins)

    It's that man!

Wycombe just needed to get to half time, but they switch off and Gareth Ball pounces.

Lucas Moura whips a dangerous ball in and Bale is the only one in the box to react.

He glances over his shoulder and hooks a deft finish beyond Ryan Allsop with his left foot.

    Spurs are level.

Tottenham have been very good on set-pieces. Unlucky from Tanganga not to score and Wycombe escape again.

  5. OFF THE BAR!published at 45 mins

    Wycombe 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs are kept at bay by the crossbar, again!

This time it's Japhet Tanganga who rises highest to meet Harry Winks' delivery but the Tottenham defender can only guide his header against the bar from close range.

    Wycombe 1-0 Tottenham

Wycombe win a free-kick some 30 yards out, slightly to the right of the Spurs area.

Jason McCarthy fancies a pop though...

Not a bad effort, it rustles the side-netting but I think Joe Hart had it covered.

It's a great cup tie, end to end. Credit to Wycombe because they defending brilliantly and the front three have caused Tottenham all kinds of problems.

Jose Mourinho will be unhappy with the score but Tottenham have played well, they have created numerous chances and probably should be leading to game - but that's the credit to Wycombe, they just have to maintain it now.

    Wycombe 1-0 Tottenham

Wycombe looking good for their lead. They're battling well and keeping Spurs to only a few chances at the moment. Erik Lamela has a dig from the edge of the area but it's straight at Ryan Allsop.

Gareth Ainsworth will be happy to keep the Premier League side at that range.

TheTurboBear: has Bale really showed any of this "world class" since he joined Spurs on loan?

Oliver Camp: I was excited to have Bale back but now I'm worried this will start to dilute the incredible memories. It's a bit embarrassing. He really is a shadow of his former self. Come on, Gareth - show us something.

It was a big let off! Ryan Allsop just turned around and gathered the ball so nonchalantly but Harry Kane on the subs bench had his head in hands! He thought it was in.

  11. CLOSE!published at 36 mins

    Wycombe 1-0 Tottenham

    Off the bar!

Gareth Bale wriggles across the area and feeds Moussa Sissoko, who sweeps it right-footed towards goal and it deflects up past Ryan Allsop and on to the bar, before dropping back into the goalkeeper's arms.

That's as close as Spurs have come to levelling.

Wycombe will know they can't give Tottenham set-pieces because eventually Spurs will take one but credit to Wycombe, they have defended, Ryan Allsop has made a few good saves and they are definitely in this game. They are doing ever so well.

Matt Dawson: Anti-Mourinho bias aside.. that was a fantastic goal from Wycombe Spurs doing a Spurs again.

Ryan Allsop not touched the ball in open play in 33 minutes.

Peter Blow: Gareth Ainsworth should spend the entire match in his technical area sat astride a Triumph, revving the engine whenever his team are in possession.

Liz Tray: Gareth Ainsworth looks like he was in an early 90s blues-rock band. He's going to burst into a chorus of Free's Wishing Well any second now.

Gareth Bale could have had a hat-trick!

It's lovely feet from the Spurs forward to skip past his man with a neat step over and work it on to his right foot, but the Welshman hits the side netting from a tight angle.
