Is Mourinho tempted to adopt the trademark Ainsworth locks?

    Back to more important matters.

Jose Mourinho is a fan of opposite number Gareth Ainsworth's rock-star locks: "Long, rock star, amazing." Which begs the question, what does Jose make of his own hair do?! "Always the same, old fashioned, white hair." Fair.

The Portuguese also doesn't fancy his chances of joining Ainsworth's band, Cold Blooded Hearts: "I only feel sorry I cannot sing with him because I will destroy his music."

"He must be a guy who enjoys life," added Mourinho. "He looks a happy guy and if to be happy, part of his life is to play the rock, to sing, to be part of the beautiful world that is music, he has to do it," said Mourinho.

"I remember somebody was saying, maybe he was saying it himself, that with a different haircut he would be seen as a great coach by others, but I don’t think it has anything to do with the haircut.

‘Pep Guardiola has no haircut. My haircut is always the same, old-fashioned, white-hair haircut. He has this long, rock-star hair, amazing. And he is a good coach - you only stay in the club for so long if you are good, you are promoted, you stay and fight in a difficult competition like the Championship.

"He knows what he wants. He knows clearly the way he wants to play and how to get the very best out of his players."

    Wycombe v Tottenham (19:45 GMT)

Gareth Bale starts for Tottenham for the first time since 23 December as Jose Mourinho makes 10 changes to the side that beat Sheffield United last-time out.

Ben Davies is the only player to retain his place as he captains the side. There's also a first start since 10 December for Japhet Tanganga. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are on a strong bench but there's no place in the squad for Dele Alli.

On-loan Leicester forward Admiral Muskwe starts for Wycombe. His last start for the Championship side was in the 4-1 win against Preston in the previous round.

Wycombe XI: Allsop, McCarthy, Grimmer, Knight, Jacobson, Wheeler, Thompson, Bloomfield, Muskwe, Ikpeazu, Onyedinma.

Subs: Pattison, Kashket, McCleary, Akinfenwa, Charles, Adeniran, Samuel, Stockdale, Mehmeti.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Hart, Tanganga, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies, Winks, Sissoko, Bale, Lamela, Lucas Moura, Vinicius.

Subs: Reguilon, Hojbjerg, Son, Kane, Rodon, Gazzaniga, Bergwijn, Aurier, Ndombele.

Yes the man dubbed 'Wild Thing' could have trodden a very different path if it wasn't for his footballing ambitions. And here's some knockout trivia for your next Zoom quiz...

“At Wimbledon, I played in a band with Trond Andersen and Chris Perry called APA. At QPR, John Gregory played the guitar. We were going to cover a Bruce Springsteen song together but never got time with him being manager," Ainsworth told the Telegraph in 2015.

Wondering what the name APA stands for? The clue is in the band members... Ainsworth, Perry and Andersen, geddit?

"If someone said I could be as successful at music as I have been with football, then it would be a tough one to call," he told the Evening Standard while playing for QPR in 2003.

"We played at the Half Moon in Putney last May. David Bowie has played there and it was a great thing to do."

This is how we think we all look sporting our lockdown hair dos.

Locks flowing, rock n roll vibe... To be fair, there's not many people who can don red snakeskin boots or drive a 1969 Ford Mustang with the confidence of Gareth Ainsworth.

This is a man who steered Wycombe from League Two to the Championship for the first time in the club's history and was the longest-serving Football League manager until Simon Weaver got promoted to the fourth tier with Harrogate Town this season.

And he's a rock star on the side.

Gareth Ainsworth remembers the scare his side gave Spurs four years ago.

"We were close that day, we didn't quite finish the job but there were some big hitters on the pitch at the end," said the Wycombe boss.

"I think it will be a really strong Tottenham team because Jose Mourinho is a winner, he wants to win trophies."

Wycombe. Tottenham. FA Cup upset? We've been here before, almost.

The Chairboys were 3-2 up at White Hart Lane at this stage in 2017, before Spurs scored in the 89th and 97th minute to turn things around and progress to the fifth round.

Adebayo Akinfenwa gave Spurs' centre-back pairing of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Kevin Wimmer a torrid time, while Paul Hayes netted twice for the then-League Two side.

Goals from Dele Alli, Vincent Janssen and a Son Heung-min double saved Spurs' blushes.
