  1. 'City are looking so strong'published at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

Man City v Sheff Utd (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Sheffield United got a terrific result at Old Trafford on Wednesday but the table shows how much work they have to do to get out of trouble.

An immediate return to Manchester is not really the game they want as they look to build on that win over United, because City are looking so strong at the moment.

Pep Guardiola's side ripped into West Brom on Tuesday and got the game won early. The Blades will have to be ready for more of the same.

    Prediction: 3-0

  5. 'I'm going for a draw'published at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

Crystal Palace v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

    Mark Lawrenson
    BBC football expert

Between them, Crystal Palace and Wolves have only won one of their past 14 league games, but I don't think either of them have to worry about being dragged into the relegation scrap.

These two sides have identical records this season and are next to each other in the table in 13th and 14th place.

I don't think there will be much between them on the pitch, either - Wolves edged it in when they met at Molineux in the FA Cup at the start of January but this time I'm going for a draw.

    Prediction: 1-1

  7. Can the Blades complete Mancunian double?published at 14:38 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

Manchester City v Sheffield United (15:00 GMT)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Historically this has not been a goal-fest.

Of the past seven league meetings between these teams with Manchester City as the home team, there have been five goalless draws.

Sheffield United's last goal was at Maine Road, in 1991, their last away win against City was in 1987.

And there is a special bit of history awaiting the Blades if they can win.

Their shock win at Old Trafford on Wednesday means they could beat both Manchester sides away from home in a single season for only the fourth time in their entire history; the previous occasions were 1925-26, 1930-31 amd 1973-74.

  10. 'Result is vital'published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

    FT: Everton 0-2 Newcastle

    Newcastle United

Newcastle striker Callum Wilson speaking to BT Sport: "I think it’s been a long time coming. We needed to pull our fingers out, to be honest. We’ve shown glimpses, but today everything came together.

"We’ve not been picking up points. We've had four or five straight defeats, which is not nice as a footballer, but today we played well as a team and got the result.

"I got a brace today, but I'm disappointed I didn’t get a hat-trick. I missed a couple of chances. I should have had three for sure.

"The result is vital just to give the boys a bit of a lift and confidence. You could see today we were on the front foot and scored good goals. It was about putting a performance together and getting a result at the end.

"We have to take the game to teams. We can’t be sitting back all the time, especially with the players we’ve got. The players are the ones who go out and perform at the end of the day. It was nice today to go out and get a performance for the manager and the fans."

  11. 'Short-term thinking'published at 14:34 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

West Brom v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    Andy Reid
Ex-Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was short-term thinking to bring Sam Allardyce in. Normally he has a bounce effect or at least to see some signs of what he's looking for. At the moment, I'm not sure what they're trying to do in attack and in defence the goals they are conceding is not great.

That's what concerns me - I can't see how they're going to score enough goals or keep clean sheets to stay up.

  12. 'Parker deserves credit'published at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

West Brom v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    BBC Radio 5 Live

Former England midfielder Gareth Barry speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live: "Scott Parker deserves some praise for how he's changed things since the start of the season. he realised they were conceding too many goals and he's sorted that out. They're more solid defensively and look to score on the counter attack.

"But, the reality is they've not got enough points on the board and there is still a lot to do there. He needs them to show more ambition and go for it more."

  13. Head-to-head statspublished at 14:31 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

Crystal Palace v Wolves (15:00 GMT)

This is the third meeting this season, with Wolves winning the reverse fixture and this month's FA Cup third-round tie.

Wolves are looking to complete a first top-flight double over Crystal Palace since 1971-72.

Palace have gone five hours and 14 minutes without scoring against Wolves.

Sixteen of Palace's 23 points have come against sides currently in the bottom half of the table.

Wolves have taken just six points from their past eight fixtures - the same as Palace.

  16. 'West Brom hit rock bottom the other night'published at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 30 January 2021

West Brom v Fulham (15:00 GMT)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

I don't think all hope is lost for West Brom but they hit rock bottom the other night (after a 5-0 home loss to Man City). Sam Allardyce laid out a few home truths in the dressing room.

It starts today with a big game against Fulham - we're not quite in must-win territory but it's probably a must-not-lose.

Fulham have been drawing games, not winning, but staying in matches. They were fortunate in part not to lose against Brighton last week but they could have won it as well. Another draw would suit them fine today. They've been going the right way.

Both clubs need a few more goals and it should be an interesting one today.

I don't understand Everton fans complaining they are having a fantastic season and anyone can beat anyone this season

    Neil, Preston

I find it so frustrating why Everton can compete very well away from home and yet, as mentioned already, could lose to a team who haven't won in 8 league games. Disbelief!
