So far so good for in-form Brighton.

Southampton work one from the training ground, James Ward-Prowse dummying the run before laying the ball off for Ryan Bertrand on the edge of the area, but the full-back fires over.

Can Southampton snatch an equaliser before half-time?

They have a free-kick in a good position down the left.

Only one man will whip this in.

  5. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Burnley 0-1 Brighton

Nick Pope prevents Brighton from adding a second as he tips behind Aaron Connolly's good drive. Another corner for Brighton and danger for Burnley. All eyes are on Lewis Dunk but Pope takes charge of the situation to snatch the ball out of the air.

  6. 'Important few minutes for Newcastle'published at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

    Michael Brown
Former Sheffield United midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Newcastle just need to take their time and take full control of this half. It was a solid start for them, but we know this Southampton side are a threat.

Losing Wilson’s not going to help. It’s an important few minutes for them.

Saints have bagged a great signing in Minamino. He was treated badly by Klopp, who didn't realised what a talent he was and didn't have a clue how to use him. Good luck Taki!

  8. 'Someone needs to pick up Dunk'published at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Burnley 0-1 Brighton

    Alex Scott
Former England and Arsenal defender on Final Score

Lewis Dunk is unmarked, in acres of space, from a set piece. Someone needs to be picking him up before he gets there. There's no-one around him!

  9. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Burnley 0-1 Brighton

Burnley push to try and get back level as Matt Lowton's shot is blocked by Ashley Barnes before Jack Cork's scoops an effort over.

Surely Takumi Minamino must have had a falling out with Jurgen Klopp?

He scored in the 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace back in December but barely got a look-in after, even with the Reds struggling to score goals.

  11. Postpublished at 15:39 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

Takumi Minamino is the first player to score on his Southampton debut in the Premier League since Jan Bednarek v Chelsea in April 2018.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

Joe Willock nearly gets a second on debut.

Not sure he meant this one, slicing a cross which is drifting towards the far top corner but Alex McCarthy gets across sharply to push the ball away.

  13. goal

GOAL - Burnley 0-1 Brightonpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Lewis Dunk (37 mins)

    A goal!

Clearly my entry brought this game to life as Brighton snatch the lead. It is far too easy for Brighton as Lewis Dunk is allowed to rise unchallenged and head home a corner.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

Oh no, second enforced change of the first half for Steve Bruce.

£40m man Joelinton comes on for topscorer Callum Wilson, who hobbles off.

35 minute gone in this one.

Not technically a word, but the most apt description.

People blaming Bednarek for the first goal haven't seen that he's marking two men because Stephens is desperately out of position.

    Dave, Saints fan

What a shame grassroots football is currently suspended....if not you'd be hearing cries of "you're having a Bednarek" ring out across parks all over the country!

    Craig in Norwich

Love me a super loanee. Lingard, now Minamino. Shows what a chance and some game time can do for a hungry player.

More injury issues for Newcastle as main striker Callum Wilson needs the physio on to stretch out some muscles in his right leg.

Yep, 'stretch out some muscles', that's the technical term for it.

  19. 'Fabulous finish'published at 15:32 Greenwich Mean Time 6 February 2021

    Newcastle 2-1 Southampton

    Garth Crooks
Former Tottenham Hotspur striker on Final Score

The ball from Ryan Bertrand into Takumi Minamino is fabulous. His first touch takes him between two players, into space and he thrashes it into the back of the net. Fabulous finish.

But on the Jan Bednarek own goal - not to be able to sort your feet out there is criminal.

    Burnley 0-0 Brighton

This has been a real struggle so far for Brighton. They are finding space limited when they do try to get forward with Burnley defending well. The hosts really need to capitalise on this good spell, though.
