Son is carrying on, and how about that for some vintage Gareth Bale?!

He hits a shot from a mile out, catches it cleanly and it comes back off John Stones. Bale has three defenders in his way and beats them all with a quick shuffle, and he then lashes in a shot which Ederson pushes out.

A kick on the top of the foot in this weather would be pretty unwelcome. Son is getting treatment as City send on Riyad Mahrez for Gabriel Jesus.

Son is now up and limping away.

Could Spurs' day be about to get worse? Son goes into a 50/50 with Joao Cancelo and goes down holding his foot in pain.

Despite this bad run Spurs will end the day only four points off the top four so not all hope is lost. They do need a reset though.

That's 10 goals in three games so far today. An average we can get on board with.

Tom Farr: This is not the scoreline that I wanted to see. From a Liverpool fan with sad feelings.

Andrew: When a manager resolves to play defensive, negative football, for whatever reason, he has to have them defend well!! Spurs aren't even doing that right!

Ilkay Gundogan has scored 11 Premier League goals this season - the only German players to score more in a single season in the competition are Jurgen Klinsmann (20) and Uwe Rosler (15), both in the 1994-95 campaign.

    That's pretty insane.

Imran Piperdi: Time to say bye bye Jose?

Phil Kemp: Weren't we top of the league earlier this season? We can't be on José-Third-Season-Syndrome already, can we?

Rachel T: Proper face plant from Sanchez there as Gündogan scored. Sums both teams up quite neatly.

    Here comes Gareth Bale.

Hugo Lloris has made a save! Right behind a Phil Foden drive. Gareth Bale is taking off some layers so we may see him.

He might not have got to take the penalty but he gets the assist for that.

Fabulous long pass - and brilliant finish from Gundogan. City are took good for Spurs - and everyone else it seems.

Yep, Ilkay Gundogan may have tweaked his groin. He limps off and Ferran Torres replaces him.

    Ilkay Gundogan (66 mins)

Another week, Ilkay Gundogan on a hat-trick again...

That is dreadful from a Tottenham point of view. Ederson launches the ball downfield and Gundogan is in a chase with Davinson Sanchez for the ball right down the middle.

Gundogan holds off the bigger man, twists and turns, Sanchez falls over and Gundogan shoots home with his left foot.

Hugo Lloris could...no, I'll leave that. He didn't save it, anyway.

Jim we had a go at Martin Keown for making that sort of comment earlier so we'll have to do the same again.

Last time I checked all 92 clubs are playing without their home fans at the moment.

Kris Jefferson: City showing why they’ll be champions, when they have big players missing (De Bruyne/Aguero) the other players step up (Gundogan/Sterling/Foden)

Jim Harrison: I think this season is all about the lack of fans. City are flourishing - the Etihad is hardly famed for it's atmosphere - whereas Liverpool are struggling for exactly the opposite reason. The Anfield factor should not be underestimated.
