You have to be careful with Kevin de Bruyne, building him back in - there is no rush. He is frustrated coming off.

I thought he did well and maybe he's a little rusty in the final third for his standards. But still it was an unbelievable performance by him today.

Raheem Sterling is furious as John Moss penalises him for handball while he tries to control it under pressure from Hector Bellerin.

He slams the ball into the ground but Moss gives him a stern talking to and they make up.

Joao Cancelo is in the book now too as he jumps straight into Kieran Tierney in the air.

Kevin de Bruyne's run-out is complete. On comes Gabriel Jesus.

Kieran Tierney skews a cross straight out for a goal kick. He bends over in the corner flag next to Sergio Aguero warming up. The Arsenal full-back is blowing a bit now which is understandable given this is his first game for a while. Surely due to come off soon? Gabriel Jesus is getting ready for City.

I don't understand why Ilkay Gundogan hasn't just taken the shot. He takes two, three touches then tries to cut back.

This is what Pep Guardiola will be frustrated with, they have had chances and chances but it is still only 1-0.

City are getting behind a lot more now.

Joao Cancelo is in on the right this time. He tries to pull it back first-time on the volley but instead slices the cross towards Bernd Leno at the near post. Comfortable for the keeper.

Raheem Sterling dances inside off the left wing and his blocked shot falls for Ilkay Gundogan on the edge.

He tries to curl it into the bottom right corner but Bernd Leno dives smartly to push it wide.

Kevin de Bruyne then slices a volley over the bar from the corner.

Uncle Busby: I appreciate he’s been out for a month but City look much more sluggish with De Bruyne in the team, last few weeks without him they’ve been energetic and crisp.

I said in the first half one of these Kevin de Bruyne passes would eventually come off and this one did!

Granit Xhaka decides he wants a card now too and takes out Raheem Sterling.

Bernardo Silva is in the book as he catches Bukayo Saka late and kills the counter-attack.

That would have been been an unbelievable goal from Kevin de Bruyne! The audacity... He saw that Bernd Leno was off his line and just tried to dink it over.

It was marginally wide - an unbelievable effort.

Martin Odegaard and Granit Xhaka both try to pick out Nicolas Pepe and Kieran Tierney respectively, but there's not much space around the City box.

Raheem Sterling is almost away but Rob Holding does well to recover and put in a crucial sliding tackle.

Riyad Mahrez was waiting for the cut-back in the middle.

Well Manchester City have started the second half exactly the same way they started the first - with intent.

They are constantly on the attack.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has had a good game. He gets in behind on the left and lays it off to Kevin de Bruyne, who takes up a position just on the edge of the box.

He sees Bernd Leno off his line and tries to chip him at the far post. He's not too far away!

Ruben Dias is given about an hour on the ball in the middle before he picks out Raheem Sterling to his left.

He tees up Oleksandr Zinchenko who catches it on the sweet spot but it's way over the bar.
