    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Arsenal have a spell of possession at the back but a sloppy pass to Granit Xhaka is sniffed out by Fernandinho.

He lays it off to Ilkay Gundogan just inside the box but his first touch isn't great and it allows the defender to come across to block the shot.

For the last few minutes Pep Guardiola has been shouting "width, width, width" - he's asking the wide players to really stretch the Arsenal back line because Arsenal will leave the spaces and then they'll pull them apart and third-man runs from Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva will arrive over your shoulder and you won't know want to do.

Kieran Tierney forces a save from Ederson with a really nice half-volley but it's too close to the keeper.

Ederson then releases Kevin de Bruyne but Arsenal get back into shape quickly and he turns back.

Arsenal will need to focus on wing play. They will create chances there. City full backs can't defend much.

Bukayo Saka carries it on the break for Arsenal but his pass through to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is blocked.

Nicolas Pepe had made a run at the same time but when Saka then tries to lift it over to him, he's offside and has to let it run behind for a goal kick.

Joao Cancelo is like a winger - we've seen him in centre midfield and we've seen him in the number nine position this season.

How Manchester City and Pep Guardiola see football is fluid and dynamic, it's chopping and changing and there isn't necessarily a formation. That's why it is a nightmare to play and defend against this Manchester City side.

    Arsenal 0-1 Man City

Riyad Mahrez has acres of space on the right side of the box when Ilkay Gundogan picks him out.

He beats Pablo Mari with a rollover but is pushed wide by Kieran Tierney and his cross is blocked.

Joao Cancelo makes a really nice run on the right and John Stones finds him. He races to keep it in and cuts it back into the six-yard area but there's not a single City player in the box.

Arsenal pick it up comfortably and Cancelo slaps his thighs in frustration. Wasted oxygen.

Games like this are the marker to show that Arteta has achieved absolutely no progress with this poor squad. Major investment needed.

City are still dominating possession but Kevin de Bruyne hasn't quite found his range yet. He's tried a few through balls, looking for Ilkay Gundogan and Raheem Sterling but they have been slightly too heavy. Surely a matter of time before one comes off though?

Matty AFC: Arsenal's passing game hasn't actually been too bad, but City's play both in and out of possession is phenomenal. Every individual movement is matched by teammates and a press is always backed up.

Bukayo Saka holds the pass out wide to Kieran Tierney but when it comes it's perfectly-weighted.

He gets it straight back from Tierney and hits it first time. It ends up bouncing dangerously off Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a yard off the line but the whistle has gone for offside in the build-up.

You have to question why Calum Chambers hasn't had a look in. He's got the Virgil Van Dijk build and would have dealt with that Sterling header.

    FT: Aston Villa 1-2 Leicester

    Aston Villa

Aston Villa defender Matt Targett, speaking to Sky Sports: "We huffed and puffed in the second half but just couldn’t get that equaliser. In the first 45 minutes we were nowhere near it. We were miles off and not aggressive enough. They found it far too easy to play.

"We conceded two goals which gave us a mountain to climb, but getting a goal early in the second half put us back into the game.

"For 45 minutes we didn’t come out of the changing room. When you do that in the Premier League it’s very hard to get back."

On Jack Grealish's absence: "When they see there’s no Jack Grealish it gives everyone in their team a lift. He’s the best player in our squad, there’s no hiding from that.

"When you miss a player like Jack Grealish it’s a big blow."

Riyad Mahrez turns Pablo Mari inside-out and gets a shot away but Kieran Tierney comes across to block.

It then falls to Kevin de Bruyne on the edge of the box and he scuffs the shot. Bit rusty. We'll let him off.
