It was a brilliant strike from Emile Smith-Rowe, lovely technique.

    Hugo Lloris was beaten.

Oh no, possibly bad news for Spurs. Son Heung-min goes down holding his leg. Think he might have pulled something chasing a long ball forward. Nobody was near him. That usually means bad things.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:46 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham

Arsenal are hammering at the door. Spurs give the ball away cheaply again and are almost punished with Emile Smith-Rowe unleashing a superb shot from range that hits the corner of the goalframe before bouncing clear. So close.

  5. Arsenal on the front footpublished at 16:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Really good start from Arsenal. Very positive. The passing is very sharp and getting into some good crossing positions but can't quite nail the final ball.

Jose Mourinho has already been out with some very animated instructions for his Spurs players.

Those long angled balls behind the Spurs defence are causing problems. Saka is almost found with one, with Lloris coming out to intercept outside his box. The Spurs keeper's distribution is poor, though, and allows Arsenal to move forward again, ultimately for a Granit Xhaka shot over the bar.

Bukayo Saka is the first teenager to start both north London derbies in a Premier League season since Dele Alli in 2015-16 and the first for Arsenal since Cesc Fabregas in 2004-05.

Bukayo Saka has time and space to cross but over-hits his delivery and it floats over Lacazette in the box. The striker feels he is being held but he won't get a foul for it.

  9. Postpublished at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham

Martin Odegaard's corner finds a way past one Tottenham man at the near post but is belted clear by another man in a white shirt soon after.

Seen very little of Tottenham in attack so far. It's all Arsenal.

He might still have a red card in his future, but David Luiz has just played an absolute belter of a long-range pass to find Kieran Tierney charging away down the left. The full-backs cross is cut out, though.

No matter, the Gunners come forward again and win a corner.

  11. Postpublished at 16:39 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

Spurs' first attempt to craft something comes from Gareth Bale, who shows superb technique to cross with the outside of his boot but plants his delivery right into the hands of Bernd Leno.

  14. 'Wilder leaving has taken its toll'published at 16:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Leicester 5-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United interim manager Paul Heckingbottom to BBC Match of the Day: "We know the circumstances behind it. It's been a tough week in losing Chris [Wilder]. He is a mate of mine. I've been in touch with him a few times. He has been what you expect - supportive and encouraing. The players and the staff have lost their leader. It's taken its toll. It's an emotional dressing room.

"You can't get rid of the feelings. The focus was solely on this game. But it's more of an emotional thing I think. You can see it and feel it and sense it, which is to be expected. It's a sad time but we have to look forward. There is still a lot of football to play.

"You look at that and there were lots of habits in that performance which haven't been there before. The standards have been slipping. I'm there to help between now and the end of the season. It's [the players'] careers now. The next manager, whoever it will be, will be watching.

"We have to build. An FA Cup quarter-final takes care of itself. You are two games away from a final. You shouldn't need motivating for that game. But the hard work, the hunger and what has built success has been dwindling and the players know they need to get back to that."

  15. Postpublished at 16:35 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 0-0 Tottenham

A bit of early Arsenal pressure begins with a Martin Odegaard free-kick into the mixer. Spurs clear but they remain under the cosh. Kieran Tierney then drives a shot (or was it a cross?) through the box.

    Decent start by the Gunners.

  16. 'Embarrasing performance from us'published at 16:33 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    FT: Leicester 5-0 Sheffield United

    Sheffield United

Sheffield United's Billy Sharp to Sky Sports: "Very disappointed. Unacceptable performance. No excuses. Embarrasing performance from every single one of us. Very poor.

"We built something really, really good. We have become poor this season. That result sums us up at the minute. That was unacceptable. The gulf between them and us was men against boys.

"I'm not saying nobody tried. It was just the quality. Whether it's belief or courage... You try to go out there away from home and it's a difficult place to come. We struggle when we go 1-0 down at the minute. We didn't have a shot on goal which is embarrassing. To concede five goals is just not us. If we're not careful, there will be a few more results like that."

On Chris Wilder leaving: "I have felt it was coming but it was always a shock when it happens. It's no excuse but we went out there and put on a performance which was unnacceptable. Whoever has gone out there this season, we have been poor. We have let each other down. We had one month where we picked up some good results and built some momemtum then it's been back to where it was. We have lost what we had.

"We need to stick together. It's the only way. It's what we have built for four or five seasons. We need to do it in training. Training has slipped. Individual standards have slipped which goes through the team. When you come out on a Saturday there is a lack of belief. Today was terrible and one of the worst performances since I've been back at the club.

"There was nothing to lose today. We were expected to be beaten. We didn't go out there and do that [play with enjoyment]. It was always going to be difficult but the way we conceded those goals and the way we were on the ball was very poor."
