Sheffield United interim manager Paul Heckingbottom speaking to Sky Sports on how much time he has had working with the players: "Actually working with them, none. It wasn't official until last night that I could take the game. That's posed its problems but I've known it could happen the past 24 hours or so. The players are fine, they've been good as gold."

On his team selection: "Obviously it's not related to any work we've been doing. It is a team we think can give Leicester as many problems as we can."

On what he's asked from the players: "Attitude, performance. It's its been a difficult week for lots of reasons but you've got to start somewhere. It's not an excuse, we have to put in a performance."

lutenilawi: Southampton look like a team lost. A pale imitation of how they started the season. Defence looks leaky, midfield is easily overran and the final ball gives the forwards no chance.

SRichardsonHT: This is turning into a drastic decline for Southampton given where they were. Hasenhuttl seemingly unable to reverse the form. Is he vulnerable?

Three minutes will be added to the end of the game. Saints have barely laid a glove on Brighton this half.

Chris Wilder restored pride to a club which had unravelled in League One and took them to the Premier League in the space of three seasons.

A Blades ballboy, player and then its leader, he brought entertaining football to a new army of fans, and still caught the bus to go down the pub with his mates.

In a global league, he was Sheffield United's everyman.

Brighton have got good control of the game. It doesn't look like they are in a lot of trouble. If they were to throw this lead away then I think Graham Potter might start fearing the worst.

Sheffield United travel to Leicester for today's match which kicks off in just over 15 minutes.

It's been a sad week for the Blades as it was confirmed yesterday that manager Chris Wilder has left after almost five years in charge.

The ex-defender became manager in May 2016 and took them from League One to the Premier League in that time.

A statement from club , externalsaid the 53-year-old had left by mutual consent following discussions between the board and Wilder.

Under-23s manager Paul Heckingbottom will take charge for the rest of the campaign but he only linked up with the squad today.

He took charge of the U23s on Friday afternoon and was not involved in training yesterday due to covid protocols.

It's just not happening for Southampton. A cross from the left floats harmlessly out of play. Hasenhuttl is furious.

The change of system at half time has had a big impact. It is what has changed the game and got Brighton into the lead. They looked lopsided in the first half, the system just wasn't working for them at all.
