You can't say Lamela hasn't had an eventful game!

On as a sub inside 20 minutes, scores a rabona and is then sent off courtesy of a forearm into Tierney's face. It's a second yellow, followed by red.

He's gone. Have Spurs' hopes of getting anything from this gone with him?

  3. Postpublished at 18:01 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

The corner is deep and designed for Gabriel, but he can't get much on the ball, it popping up for Lloris to grab.

  4. Postpublished at 18:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Just under 20 minutes left. Pepe wins Arsenal a corner.

  5. Postpublished at 17:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

More intent now from Spurs. What choice do they have? A ball from deep is met by the head of Lamela but only to send the ball into Leno's grasp.

Why wait until you're behind to offer anything in attack other than the unlikely event of a rabona nutmeg?

  6. Postpublished at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Oh, what a cross that is from Harry Kane. He is near the right corner of the 18 yard box and floats a delivery in that is just a fraction in front of the rising Dele Alli.

  7. YELLOW CARDpublished at 17:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 2-1 Tottenham

Few tempers flaring now. Lamela fouls Partey and goes into the book, joining Reguilon and Sanchez.

Sho: Arsenal deservedly in front. Spurs have been pathetic so far, fossil tactics from Jose as usual in a big game. It's been a battering to be honest.

Ashwin R: That’s never a penalty. What’s your VAR doing?!!!!!! Your referee has messed it up!

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have been excellent and fully deserve to be ahead. Spurs have been desperately poor - can they find something they have not shown so far?

Alexandre Lacazette has kicked the ground, then the challenge comes in. He has not caught him before Lacazette kicks the floor.

But Davinson Sanchez has given the referee a decision to make. He has to stand up.

The goal is what Arsenal deserve though and he has tucked away the penalty nicely.

GOAL - Arsenal 2-1 Tottenhampublished at 17:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Alexandre Lacazette

He hit that a lot cleaner!

Lacazette strokes the penalty into the corner to complete the turnaround.

Mad thing about all that is that if Sanchez had been able to pull out of the tackle, there would have been no threat to the Spurs goal.

  12. PENALTY TO ARSENALpublished at 17:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

    Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham

    Spurs crack.

Lacazette is found in the box. His first touch is good, his second woeful as he almost misses the ball entirely in attempting to shoot but slicing the ball instead. However, Sanchez slides in and still catches the Arsenal forward. He is booked too.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

It is Dele Alli coming on, with Tanguy Ndombele departing.

  14. Postpublished at 17:49 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

Arsenal firmly on the front foot. Spurs are dug in, on the edge of the their own six-yard box practically, to head away a couple of crosses.

    Time for another Spurs change.

It just wasn't the right game for Gareth Bale today. He hasn't seen a lot of the ball and done a lot of defending. He will come again though, he has been excellent recently.

Adam Kitchiner: No passion from the Spurs players today. Don't seem up for it, which is appalling.

Josh Hovey: It took the goal of the season and two saves from the goalpost to keep the Gunners level. Second half, let's goooo!

  20. Postpublished at 17:42 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2021

Smith-Rowe spreads play to Tierney on the left - a common occurrence in this game - but his cross is deflected up and into the arms of Lloris.
