A late goal at Elland Road to throw away two points and now an even later goal here to chuck another two in the bin.

Are those the results that will cost Liverpool Champions League football next season?

A huge point for Newcastle. It edges them closer to safety.

But I don't think their fans will mind too much if I just focus on Liverpool initially.

So many chances, so many misses, so much possession, but yet again they conspire to find a way to throw points away.

They even got a somewhat fortuitous let-off just moments before the goal. But they were visibly rattled and amidst the chaos Newcastle capitalised.

There will have been some celebrations from both sets of players at the London Stadium.

I mean, wow.

It did hit his arm. It was important in allowing Wilson to get the ball back under control according to the officials. It is not going to be a goal.

Newcastle are unlucky. Very unlucky. Liverpool with an almighty sigh of relief.

Callum Wilson put the ball into the net after he had smuggled the ball over Alisson. Did he use his arm, though? I'm not sure he did intentionally, but that's beside the point.

Another Newcastle chance. Willock loves a goal off the bench but he can only head over when found in the box by Ritchie.

The corner kick is cleared at the near post.

The board goes up. Four minutes of injury time.

Newcastle have a corner. Fabinho heading over his own goal from pcross.

Oh, that is so cynical!

Fabinho knows he is not getting the ball as Saint-Maximin flicks it past him on halfway and so he abandons any attempt and just flattens the Newcastle winger.

He gets a yellow.

Newcastle sense their moment. Saint-Maximin floats a ball into the box that Ritchie has to recover on the opposite side. His cross is headed away by Kabak, under pressure.

Three minutes to go.

Nick Hughes: I'd love to know Liverpool's conversion rate recently for these chances, it's staggering how it's only 1-0.

Almiron drops down with what looks like cramp. He won't be able to continue.

On comes Dwight Gayle in his place.

For a moment it looks like that chance has come as Wilson is found behind the Liverpool defence with a long ball forward. Kabak recovers well, though to get between striker and ball before clearing.

Into the final 10 minutes. Newcastle's threat has dried up a bit. But they only need one good chance.
