Derby's heavy defeat and a massive win for Sheffield Wednesday means the battle towards the bottom gets even more interesting going into the final stretch.

A lot will depend on how third-bottom Rotherham get on in their three games in hand.

Bottom side Wycombe could see their relegation confirmed later this week.

Watford's win at promoted Norwich means the Canaries must wait to wrap up the Championship title.

But more importantly for the Hornets, they know victory over Millwall on Saturday will see them return to the Premier League.

That's because third-placed Swansea lost to QPR and Brentford, in fourth, could only draw with Cardiff.

In the big Essex survival showdown, it was Colchester United who beat Southend United 2-0 to send the Shrimpers to the verge of the drop.

They could have been relegated tonight but Josh Windass' deflected winner at Hillsborough and defeat for Derby means they join third-bottom Rotherham on 39 points - four behind the Rams - with three games remaining.
