    Ilias Chair twice hit the post for Rangers while Wayne Routledge's shot deflected onto the woodwork at the other end.

    There were plenty of other opportunities, too.

    Watford's win at Norwich means Swansea need something extraordinary to happen if they are to overhaul the Hornets.

    Their first task is to find a breakthrough tonight.

    Promoted leaders Norwich lose at home for the second time in three days and second-placed Watford are very close to joining them in the Premier League.

    As it stands - with Brentford having drawn and Swansea only at half-time - the Hornets are points clear of third with three games left.

    Xisco Munoz's side are also within five points of Norwich. So the title race remains active.

    It was Dan Gosling's side-footed effort from close-range which decided the game.
