    Tarique Fosu (63 mins)

Oh no! What a nightmare this is for Cardiff goalkeeper Alex Smithies!

But it's a huge lifeline for Brentford as Tarique Fosu finds a leveller.

He takes a speculative shot from outside the area that looks a routine gather for Smithies, but he spills it through his hands and then his legs and into the back of the net!

GOAL: Brentford 0-1 Cardiff Citypublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Kieffer Moore pen (57 mins)

Well, what a huge moment this could be.

Cardiff win a penalty as Darren England penalised Ethan Pinnock for a handball after a header from Curtis Nelson struck his hand as it went goalward.

Brentford players looked puzzled by that decision and it seemed a touch harsh on Pinnock who seemed to know little about it.

Kieffer Moore steps up with the penalty though and sends David Raya the wrong way.

  5. goal

GOAL: Norwich 0-1 Watfordpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Dan Gosling (57 mins)

He's been knocking on the door all game and Dan Gosling finally has his goal.

It's a peach of a ball from Watford forward Joao Pedro and Gosling side-foots in from just a few yards out.

The promoted leaders are behind and Watford, as it stands, won't be too far from joining them in the Premier League.

    Swansea 0-0 QPR

Yoann Barbet makes a crucial tackle to stop Swansea's Wayne Routledge from having a free shot at goal.

QPR are in mid-table while the hosts have little room for error if they're to have any chance of snatching the second automatic promotion spot from Watford.

More cagey stuff in the early stages of the second half of this game.

    Preston 0-0 Derby

Wayne Rooney's Derby have started on the front foot as they look to give themselves a bit of breathing space towards the bottom.

Colin Kazim-Richards and Tom Lawrence are already combining nicely.

Preston don't have much to play for so the Rams need to take advantage.

It feels like now or never for Sheffield Wednesday if they are to avoid relegation to League One.

If they lose at home to mid-table Blackburn and fellow strugglers Derby win at Preston the Yorkshire club will go down to the third tier for the first time since 2012.

Wednesday remain without boss Darren Moore, who is suffering from pneumonia, and they must be wary of teenage forward Harvey Elliott who has six goals and 11 assists for Rovers this season.

With Preston all-but safe despite a sketchy 2021, all attention is on Wayne Rooney's relegation threatened Derby.

The Rams have lost their past three and sit just one place and four points above third-bottom Rotherham, who have two games in hand on them.

Derby have struggled for goals but winger Tom Lawrence has shown some form with two in his last three and they are unbeaten in their past seven visits to Deepdale.

    It's the Angel Rangel derby!

The former Swans and R's full-back, 38, today retired from football having last played for tonight's visitors in July.

Steve Cooper's third-placed side have rediscovered some form - with seven points and seven goals in their past three games - and still have hopes of catching Watford, who are six points above them.

Mid-table QPR, meanwhile, have alternated between victory and defeat in their last five league games, with Scotland striker Lyndon Dykes in top form.

    Tuesday's EFL action

The remaining three Championship matches kick-off in less than 10 minutes, with something big at stake in each of them.

Let's take a look at them...

  17. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Second-placed Watford certainly had the better of that half against a Norwich side who have at times looked like a side who may have celebrated their promotion a fair bit over the past few days.

Dan Gosling has had several half-chances for the Hornets while Ismaila Sarr has been a constant menace down the right, forcing a top double save out of Tim Krul.

Remember, Norwich will win the Championship title with victory.

  18. HALF-TIMEpublished at 18:47 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Brentford 0-0 Cardiff City

No time at all added on at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Referee Darren England wants an early cup of tea it seems!

Ivan Toney with the best chance of the half to put Brentford ahead but Alex Smithies made a smart save. Cardiff have looked a threat at the other end.

  19. Postpublished at 18:46 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Two minutes of added time at Carrow Road at the end of a very watchable, yet goalless, first half.

  20. Postpublished at 18:44 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Brentford 0-0 Cardiff City

Cardiff come roaring back after that chance for Ivan Toney.

Kieffer Moore wins the ball in the air and nods it down into Harry Wilson's path in the penalty area, but his attempt to hook the ball back across goal goes wide of danger.
