  1. CLOSE!published at 18:09 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

And now Ismaila Sarr flashes one just wide for Watford from inside the box.

We know Norwich had some promotion celebrations on Saturday night and they're struggling to keep with the early pace.

  2. Postpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

Xisco Munoz's visitors have started on the front foot.

Craig Cathcart, playing at right-back crosses and Dan Gosling heads over, unopposed, from around 10 yards.

  3. Postpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Brentford 0-0 Cardiff City

Good early pressure once more from Cardiff who have started this one the brighter.

Harry Wilson again sniffing around the loose balls around the Brentford penalty area and then the ball breaks to full-back Perry Ng to have a go from distance.

But his effort is very, very tame despite being on target and an easy gather for David Raya.

  4. Postpublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Brentford 0-0 Cardiff City

Cardiff force the first corner of this one as Keiffer Moore and Harry Wilson combine well in the air and on the deck.

The set piece almost falls to the head of Aden Flint coming up for the visitors but Brentford manage to scramble it clear.

  5. Postpublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Watford

It's a lovely spring evening in Norfolk and promoted Norwich have made just the one, enforced, change - Xavi Quintilla in at left-back in place of the suspended Dimitris Giannoulis.

Watford, meanwhile, have made four changes from their disappointing defeat at rivals Luton on Saturday.

  6. KICK-OFFpublished at 18:01 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

Brentford 0-0 Cardiff, Norwich 0-0 Watford

We're under way in our two early Championship kick-offs.

Brentford will need to beat Cardiff if there are to maintain any chance of a top-two finish, while leaders Norwich will win the title if they can beat second-placed Watford.

Managerless and bottom-of-the-table Swindon's game against play-off chasing Portsmouth has also just started in League One.

Promoted Norwich start the evening eight points ahead of second-placed Watford with four games remaining.

But while the Canaries have that title carrot it's arguably a bigger match for the Hornets as victory at Carrow Road and any slip-ups from closest rivals Swansea and Brentford would put Xisco Munoz's side on the brink of the Premier League.

Watford lost at Luton last time out but have not suffered back-to-back Championship defeats since November 2014.

  8. Bees need to get sting backpublished at 17:55 British Summer Time 20 April 2021

Brentford v Cardiff City (18:00 BST)

Just one win in their past six and five draws have left Brentford fans frustrated that the top two places have slowly ebbed away from their reach.

But, a win this evening and a slip up from second-placed Watford could haul them back into contention.

Thomas Frank's side eight points behind Watford but do have a game in hand.

The Bees host another side who have fallen off the pace lately in Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds are now 11 points adrift of the play-off places after just one win in their past eight games.

Nothing but victory will do this evening for Mick McCarthy's side as that chance of a shot at promotion drifts ever further into the distance.

    Tuesday's EFL action

Less than 72 hours ago Norwich City were celebrating their fifth promotion to the Premier League - having got over the line before kicking a ball and then being beaten by Bournemouth.

Three days on they have the Championship title within their grasp. Beat second-placed Watford and they will be crowned champions.

That game, as well as Brentford v Cardiff, kicks-off in 15 minutes with three more Championship matches at 19:00 BST including Sheffield Wednesday against Blackburn, where a defeat for the Owls would see them relegated if Derby win at Preston.

On top of that we have a full programme of juicy fixtures in League One and League Two.
