The Liverpool players have warmed up wearing grey t-shirts with "Jordan" on the back, all with the number seven.

Jordan Banks, 9, was killed after being struck by lightning during football training this week.

    He was a Liverpool fan.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

First real involvement of Jack Grealish in the game as he picks out Anwar El Ghazi just outside the box but El Ghazi sends his effort wide.

  3. Postpublished at 78 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Richarlison gets away from Tyrone Mings and finds Andre Gomes inside the box but his low effort is blocked superbly by Ahmed Elmohamady, who sticks out a boot to poke the goalbound effort away from danger.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 75 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

A second change for Everton as Alex Iwobi comes on for Seamus Coleman.

Everton really need a win to keep in the hunt for a top four finish and they've got 15 minutes to find one.

  5. Postpublished at 73 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Anwar El Ghazi's shot is knocked behind unconvincingly by Michael Keane as Aston Villa win yet another corner - their ninth of the game.

This one is marginally better as the delivery finds Ahmed Elmohamady but his header is wide.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 70 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

It's Jack Grealish time! And my word does this game need an injection of excitement.

Three months after his last appearance, Grealish is on for Bertrand Traore.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Andre Gomes is on for Everton, replacing Gylfi Sigurdsson, and he is straight into action but a little rusty as he launches a shot well over.

This would be a high scoring game if the goal was about 10 foot taller.

  9. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 65 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Aston Villa do make a change... but it isn't Jack Grealish.

Jacob Ramsey is on for Ross Barkley, who has been disappointingly anonymous against his former club.

  10. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Jack Grealish is taking off his big coat. Looks like he's coming on imminently as Mason Holgate heads a free kick into the hands of Emi Martinez.

Another corner for Aston Villa but once again they fail to make the most of it as the ball is played out to Bertrand Traoré, who fires well over.

Still no movement on the Villa bench.

  13. Flares, chants and singingpublished at 19:16 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

Man Utd v Liverpool (20:15 BST)

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport reporter at Old Trafford

The majority of the fans are where the team buses would normally enter the stadium.

There are lines of police blocking the entrance. Lots of red and green and yellow flares.

There was a bit of aggression in the chanting and a flare has just been thrown behind the lines of police but landed away from anyone.

    Just more singing now.

  14. 'Security noticeably tighter'published at 19:13 British Summer Time 13 May 2021

Man Utd v Liverpool (20:15 BST)

    John Murray
    BBC Radio 5 Live commentator

Sitting in the position that we are here, at about 6pm we could hear a noise of a demonstration happening outside the East Stand.

The security was noticeably tighter this time around. There were many, many stewards in place.

There were reports earlier that a Liverpool team coach, near the hotel where the players were staying in, had been blocked and had their tyres blown down but it looks like that was a decoy.

Liverpool's players and staff are safely here though so it looks as though we are on course for an 20:15 BST kick-off.

  15. Postpublished at 54 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Gylfi Sigurdsson pulls back Douglas Luiz to prevent him from breaking away and the Everton midfielder earns himself a yellow card as a result.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 52 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Good reaction save by Emi Martinez as he sticks out a hand to stop Ben Godfrey's effort from Gylfi Sigurdsson's free-kick sneaking in at the near post.

It must have been some half-time team talk by Carlo Ancelotti, Everton have significantly improved on their first half performance.

  17. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is suddenly in on goal, he gets into the box and tries to bend a shot inside the near post but Emi Martinez reads it superbly and makes the save. The flag then goes up with Calvert-Lewin having been just offside when he made his run.

    Good start by Everton, though.

  18. Postpublished at 48 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

Bright start by Everton as Abdoulaye Doucouré sweeps a low effort towards goal from the edge of the area but it is stabbed away.

  19. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Aston Villa 0-0 Everton

No changes made at half time, so Jack Grealish stays on the bench for now.

    We are back under way.

Steve: So it's okay be angry and indignant about the European Super League, but taking real action is beyond the pale? I am also 59 years old and couldn't be prouder of being a United support right now.

Karl: To all those saying United fans have gone too far, 15 years of quiet protest got them nowhere.
