The news here is that the Liverpool players and squad have arrived safely at Old Trafford so it looks as though the game will be going ahead.

Jack Grealish is on the pitch warming up. If the game picks up from where it left off then he needs to be on sooner rather than later.

Villa have a 50% Premier League win rate when he has played this season (11/22) compared to 25% without him (3/12).

The crowd outside the front of Old Trafford appear to be moving in numbers down the main road and away from the stadium now.

Tom: Let me get this straight. Twice in two games Villa have been penalised for dives, and yet and Everton player did far worse at the other end and got a free kick. Other players dive every game and get nothing. But Villa get punished for nothing? What?

Kevin: The diving, simulation, screaming and total exaggeration of contact/injuries is getting totally out of control in our football. Total embarrassment. Well done Martin Atkinson.

The crowd was a decent size at the front of the stadium but nowhere near at the same scale of 11 days ago.

Lots of rumours are circulating about Liverpool but there are plenty of police around the normal entrance for the players and everything seems calm.

The Manchester United players have indeed arrived at Old Trafford.

Oooh, Lucas Digne is not far off scoring a freak goal as his cross from the left for a second looks to be heading in at the back post before bending away, much to Emi Martinez's relief.

It's a really important fixture for Everton and their European hopes but this has not been the best game so far.

Played in driving rain, the best chance is still that Tyrone Mings header for Aston Villa.

John McGinn finds Ross Barkley brilliantly right on the edge of the area. There's space in front of Barkley but his first touch is a poor one and the ball gets away from him.

Richarlison does well to dig out a shot under pressure from Villa defenders just outside the box but it flies wide.

Ten minutes to go until half time.

Douglas Luiz makes a good run through the middle and into the box, pressuring Ben Godfrey to put the ball behind for another Aston Villa corner.

Again Villa play it short before the delivery is cleared.

Judith: I have been a Manchester United fan for as long as I can remember and I am 59. I have to say I feel ashamed. These are not fans they are just idiots. The Liverpool coach should have had an escort though.

Richard: If the coach story is true I'm assuming United will have to forfeit the game.
