Richarlison should score, that's the biggest issue for me with him, he does not score enough goals. Credit to Aaron Ramsdale, but the finishing from Richarlison there has to be better.

How have Everton not scored here? It's actually a brilliant double save.

James Rodriguez whips in a tasty cross and Richarlison gets a good head to it. Aaron Ramsdale gets down low to save it on the line.

The rebound falls to Dominic Calvert-Lewin about two yards out, but Ramsdale quickly gets to his feet to save his shot.

That reminds me of earlier in the season when Everton had a great start - and then Spurs looked brilliant for a while - and we wondered if we'd have a surprise winner.

I think this Everton starting XI is a good starting XI but they need two or three adding to make them a better team. Carlo Ancelotti has walked in to players that need to be shifted, get a new dynamic around the training ground, which he is slowly doing. There's no doubting that the additions made last summer were good additions.

Lucas Digne's corner from the other side is cleared.

Brilliant from James Rodriguez until the finish. He takes a high ball down first time, shuffles it onto his other foot but his shot is blocked.

He takes the corner which is put behind for another.

Daniel Jebbison has a huge chance to double his tally - well two chances actually.

He runs onto a weak backpass and tries to chip Jordan Pickford first time but the keeper - right on the edge of his box - saves.

Ben Osborn gets the ball back to the teenager, whose second shot is blocked by Ben Godfrey.

Two shots on target for both teams so far - but I don't think the conditions (heavy rain) are helping this game.

Wow. David McGoldrick takes a shot which is blocked. That's not what the wow is about.

It comes to John Fleck who hammers in a first-time thunderbolt from 25 yards which Jordan Pickford tips over.

Lucas Digne is fine to continue after a couple of minutes of medical work

First booking of the game as Sheffield United defender Chris Basham catches Lucas Digne with a bit of a dangerous tackle.

Digne needs treatment.

They don't get a penalty though, just a corner, and it comes to nothing.

Everton's two midfielders Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure are deeper than the Sheffield United forwards at the moment so why can't the centre-halves do that, get beyond them - it's far too easy for Sheffield United at the moment.

Half-chance for Everton but Dominic Calvert-Lewin is surrounded by two defenders as a cross comes in and his header is straight at the keeper.
