  1. What else is happening?published at 14:42 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

There will be fans at all 10 fixtures, including 10,000 at Etihad Stadium, where champions Manchester City will celebrate winning the Premier League in front of their supporters.

It is the club's third title in four seasons and comes on the day Sergio Aguero wishes farewell to the Premier League.

If Manchester United avoid defeat at Wolves, they will become just the fourth side to remain unbeaten away from home across an entire English top-flight campaign, after Preston (1888-89) and Arsenal (2001-02 and 2003-04).

And if he scores against Fulham, Joe Willock will become the first player to find the net in seven straight Premier League appearances for Newcastle since Alan Shearer between September and November 1996.

    Football Focus

    Dan Walker

Dan Walker hung up his microphone yesterday after 12 years as host of Football Focus.

"It's been a privilege to work with who I've worked with," he said. "As a kid who grew up loving football and watching football, to then sit with people I admired and talk with them about the game I've adored my whole life."

Dan was treated to special messages from former host Bob Wilson, legendary commentator Barry Davies and Jurgen Klopp and was emotional as he signed off.

"My Saturdays will never be the same," he said.

"I want to wish Alex (Scott) all the best in this role - she improves everything she does and she'll take this show to new heights."

Even Lawro had nice words for him, "You're a proper pro."

Good luck Dan, you will be missed.

  3. How a Man Utd legend left for Dunstable Townpublished at 14:37 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Frank Keogh
    BBC Sport

This weekend marks what would have been the 75th birthday of a football great.

Man Utd and Northern Ireland legend George Best, who died aged 59 in 2005, won the title twice and the European Cup, but aged 28 the former European footballer of the year's career at Old Trafford was over.

It was then he turned out for Dunstable Town, bottom of the Southern League Division One North.

"Attendances were so small, rather than announcing the team changes to the crowd, we'd announce the crowd changes to the team. We were about to finish at the bottom for the ninth year running, and I needed a gimmick."

  4. Nuno to Tottenham?published at 14:35 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

Wolves v Man Utd (16:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

I wasn't surprised. Nuno Espirito Santo is someone whose name I have heard mentioned as the rumour mill starts. It is not an official contact I have got with anyone at Tottenham but you hear things in football. His name was mentioned because of what he did at Wolves. It felt also that his journey with them had come to an end.

I'm not sure him to Tottenham is one that massively appeases the fans or gets them too excited. But he is a manager I respect.

    Wolves

Wolves have announced manager Nuno Espirito Santo is to leave by mutual agreement.

That means today's game against Manchester United will be his last with Wolves.

While this season may be considered a disappointment by Wolves, it will still end with them in a league position they have bettered only seven times in 60 years.

  8. 'I can't see anyone stumping up that kind of money for Kane'published at 14:30 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Leicester v Tottenham (16:00 BST)

    Carlton Cole
Former West Ham and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I don't know who will stump up the money for Harry Kane, I think the going rate for him is £150m, who is stumping up that kind of money for him at this time - I just can't see it myself. I don't know how it will happen but they're going to have to come down drastically on that valuation.

Daniel Levy is a good businessman, he knows what he's doing but how he thinks he's going to get that sort of money I don't know? Manchester United might, I don't see Manchester City doing it, looking abroad Real Madrid and Barcelona are in financial difficulties, I don't see it happening.

  9. 'Kane needs to take this opportunity'published at 14:29 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Leicester v Tottenham (16:00 BST)

    Dion Dublin
Former Man Utd and Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Harry Kane needs to take this window of opportunity, where he is fit and recovered from any injury he's had before, to try and find a football club that will allow him to win titles and trophies. I understand that the price is ridiculous but there's always a figure that will make an owner go 'yes that will do for me'.

When you think about players that have gone for £90-£100m, you can pretty much guarantee they're not better than Kane.

  10. Who wins the Golden Boot?published at 14:26 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Harry Kane, Mohamed Salah

England captain Harry Kane will hope to wrap up a hat-trick of Golden Boot awards in what could be his final game for Tottenham.

Kane is level with Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on 22 goals - four ahead of nearest rival Bruno Fernandes of Manchester United.

Kane's previous wins came in 2015-16 and 2016-17, but Salah too has won it twice - outright in 2017-18, and shared with team-mate Sadio Mane and Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the following season.

Both Kane and Salah have scored three times in their past five appearances.

Kane has scored seven goals on the final day of the Premier League season - only Andrew Cole (nine), Les Ferdinand (nine) and Matthew le Tissier (eight) have scored more.

Will it be his final game for Tottenham today too? Speculation is rife.

  11. Champions League can transform summerpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Charlie Adam
Former Rangers midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Today shows how big Champions League qualification is for the big clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

To see where Jurgen Klopp's side were last year and nearly missing out this time, the summer would be totally different in terms of signing players.

They also moved into a new training ground which they spent a lot of money on, they make the Champions League the war chest is much bigger.

  12. Who has been relegated?published at 14:22 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Fulham, West Brom, Sheffield United

There will be no final day drama at the bottom of the table, with the teams heading down to the Championship already confirmed.

Sheffield United were the first to be relegated when they lost to Wolves on 17 April.

They had won just one point from their opening 13 games this season and it was the joint-earliest relegation in Premier League history, alongside Ipswich Town (1994-95), Derby County (2007-08) and Huddersfield Town (2018-19).

West Brom were relegated for a fifth time after a defeat at Arsenal on 9 May.

Fulham were then relegated after a defeat by Burnley the day after.

That meant for the first time in the Premier League era all the relegation places were confirmed with three games remaining.

Meanwhile, Norwich and Watford will return to the top-flight next year, with Swansea facing Brentford in the Championship play-off final.

  14. 'West Ham fans are just happy not to be fighting relegation!'published at 14:20 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

West Ham v Southampton (16:00 BST)

    Carlton Cole
Former West Ham and England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I was speaking to some West Ham fans and they were just so happy not to be fighting relegation - finishing above Arsenal is bragging rights enough, all they need to do is draw for that to happen.

But if they didn't finish in a European spot it wouldn't be an unsuccessful season, especially after last year. I think Champions League would've been a step too far for the fans they wouldn't know what to do with themselves, but Europa League is a real step in the right direction.

  15. 'Has Kane got it in him to force a move?'published at 14:19 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Leicester v Tottenham (16:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

There are ways to do it, to force a move and make it happen. They are not pretty. It is the last resort. I have seen players do it and heard stories of players doing it. I have seen managers speaking to players, saying: "every time the ball comes to you in training, just launch it over the fence." So they are disrupting training.

At Tottenham, we were quite open about wanting a player to leave and he did the same thing - every time the ball came to him he picked it up and threw it away. Didn't speak to anyone. He was moody. He forced his way out as he was unpalatable to people around the place. Has Harry Kane got that in him? I'm not sure he has.

  16. A seventh European spot...published at 14:16 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

The Europa Conference League is effectively a step down from the Europa League.

The team that finishes seventh in the Premier League will qualify for the play-off round, which takes place over two legs on 19 and 26 August.

One of West Ham, Tottenham, Everton or Arsenal, who are at home to Brighton on the final day, are in contention.

Leeds, in 10th, can still mathematically finish in a European spot but it would require a set of highly improbable results - including a huge swing in terms of goal difference - to make it.

  17. 'League Cups won't cut it for Kane'published at 14:14 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Leicester v Tottenham (16:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

If you're Harry Kane and your sat in a meeting with Spurs thinking 'I have given you everything I can give now, this was the extra year and it is time to let me go'. It won't be financially that Daniel Levy can pursued him to stay. Kane has made plenty of money at Tottenham. He has to prove to him that what is coming in with regard to manager, style of play, players and over the next two season is a team built to win something. And when I say win something, I don't think a League Cup cuts it with Harry Kane. If I'm Harry Kane, those are the only words that will stop me.

There is a number to buy a player like Harry Kane. Clubs either meet it or they don't meet it.

  19. 'West Ham are not going away'published at 14:12 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

West Ham v Southampton (16:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

David Moyes and West Ham - incredible. Lets not forget they were really pushing for the Champions League. If we're honest, it would have taken a lot for them to get it and then had some bad injuries at key moments. You are talking about a potential manager of the season. What has really impressed me about them is these last few weeks. They're not going away are they? They have had their knocks but they want to see it through to the last game.

  20. Who qualifies for the Europa League?published at 14:10 British Summer Time 23 May 2021

    Leicester, Tottenham, West Ham, Everton

Only 32 teams are in the Europa League group stage from now on, down from 48 in previous years.

The fifth-placed Premier League team will qualify (unless it's Chelsea, who would get Champions League qualification IF they win the final of that competition against Manchester City) - as will the sixth-placed team, as FA Cup winners Leicester can finish no lower than fifth.

Leicester are currently fifth with West Ham, who are four points behind, in sixth. Tottenham and Everton are also in contention.
