    Ellen White

Goal number 45 for Ellen White on her 100th England appearance!

England manage to free Lauren Hemp down the left-hand side. She cuts the ball back and Beth Mead can't quite gather, but Fran Kirby takes it on and prods towards goal. It is headed away, but the Chelsea midfielder gathers it again and crosses for the stretching White to steer home.

White is one away from joining Kelly Smith at the top of the England goalscoring charts.

England have had almost 70% possession but they've only had four shots on target in this first half. They've all been fairly comfortable for Manuela Zinsberger in the Austria goal too.

Kiera Walsh is the latest to try her luck, but she's unable to find the target with her effort.

I think Sarina Wiegman will have wanted more shots on target compared to what England have had so far.

In possession they have been OK and they have looked really dangerous down this right-hand side with Fran Kirby and Beth Mead.

But I think what Austria are doing well putting England under pressure when they have the ball in the attacking areas and they are making England make mistakes.

I don't think Wiegman will be happy about that and there will be discussions.

    England are pressing. Really pressing.

Beth Mead again has space on the right-hand wing and she fizzes a ball into the area but the defender does well to get across Ellen White and the ball is comfortable for Manuela Zinsberger to gather.

Sarina Wiegman said from day one she wanted to see patience in England's attacking play.

They are growing into this and the spaces are opening up. Beth Mead, Fran Kirby and Rachel Daly are linking up dangerously down this right-hand side.

Can England get Lauren Hemp more involved on the far side though?

Speculative but it almost works from Millie Bright.

She decides to have a strike from at least 35 yards out. There's a little bit of movement on the ball and Manuela Zinsberger takes a step or two to her left, but the ball goes a couple of yards wide.

England have Austria penned in at the moment.

Can they capitalise and find the opener?

When England do have the ball, particularly in an attacking position, Austria are getting three or four players around to try and close it down and put the press on England.

Lovely from England, but again it is just that final bit of quality that lets them down.

Fran Kirby does really well to find some space in the pocket between the Austria defence and midfield. She looks to thread it through for Ellen White but it is just cut out by the defender.

    Pressure is building.

We knew this was going to be a tough game for England because they put 10 goals past Latvia, so they're expecting goals.

But Austria are a very good, well-organised side - and they can play as well. They are keeping the ball when they do have possession.

I think we have a good game in front of us and the crowd will be desperate for goal.

Arsenal's Beth Mead is seeing a lot of the ball on the England right, but she hasn't been able to find that little bit of space or little bit of quality yet.

    Austria are defending well.

Austria are doing really well in defence. They are able to recover in numbers and get lots of bodies around the ball as well. They are putting lots of pressure on England, who are moving the ball well at the moment.

England are just struggling to get that final pass and finish right at the bottom.

A ball over the top is slowed by a Fran Kirby touch and Beth Mead looks to square but Ellen White is flagged offside in the middle.

Lauren Hemp then stings the palms of Manuela Zinsberger, after a poor clearance from the Arsenal stopper.

It's taken us 20 minutes but we have "Sweet Caroline" playing on the drums.

Fran Kirby is growing into this game. She's been by far England's most influential attacking player in this first quarter.

She again glides down the right-hand side and threads a lovely weighted pass through for Beth Mead but she can't escape the attention of the defender and it comes to nothing.

Austria have been occasionally dangerous in and around the box. England are covering well in the full-back positions - particularly on this near side with Rachel Daly - to stop the overlaps. But they need to be wary.

Austria earn a free-kick high up on the right-hand side and, interestingly, England opt to leave Nicole Billa - who has seven goals in qualifying - completely unmarked at the back post.

The ball doesn't reach her though, with Fran Kirby there to hook the ball clear.

All on this right-hand side for England. Fran Kirby twice now has been involved and put two really good crosses in - but England weren’t able to convert.

    Almost!

The corner is taken from Fran Kirby and Millie Bright looks to get across her marker but heads the ball into the defender.

It is prodded towards goal by England and Beth Mead looks to apply the finishing touch but Laura Wienroither does well to get it behind for another corner.

England were appealing for a high boot, but it was just about ok.

    Better from England.

Fran Kirby finds space down the right and fizzes a cross along the six-yard line, but England can't find a finish.

Less than a minute later she's free again but the cross is put behind at the back post.

    Encouraging signs.
