    Well, the new Premier League season actually started on Friday when newcomers Brentford stunned Arsenal.

    Saturday began with Manchester United's thumping victory over bitter rivals Leeds, while European champions Chelsea got off to a winning start, as did Brighton, Everton, Leicester and Watford.

    Liverpool rounded off the day with a comfortable victory at Norwich.
