The easiest thing to do is that if he thinks it's a foul then give a yellow card and if he doesn't then let it go on. He doesn't need to drag the captain from the goal all the way to the half-way line for a chat.

Maybe they decided they needed a better defender rather than an attacking option against the champions.

Good strength from Japhet Tanganga to stop Jack Grealish. He's having a decent game. I was surprised he started at right-back instead of Matt Doherty - especially with ex-Wolves boss Nuno in charge.

Spurs feel like they need a focal point in the box. A couple of times Son Heung-min has played it back when he gets into a decent position.

Spurs need to use Moura, Son and Bergwijn's pace. They need to use their ball carriers to get them up the pitch because they're not going to out-pass Man City.

City fans shout for a penalty as a cross hits Oliver Skipp's chest, then arm. That's not a handball these days. They seem to tweak that rule every summer now.

Now Spurs counter - and it's a dangerous one - but the offside flag goes up.

Son Heung-min puts in a lovely corner, which Japhet Tanganga looks to flick on but Ruben Dias glances it to safety. Dias had hands on Tanganga but not enough for a penalty.

Spurs have one of the best moments of the game out of nowhere. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg bursts forward from the halfway line and sprays it out left to Steven Bergwijn. He cuts inside, a defender slips and his shot is blocked by another City player.

I can confirm Jack Grealish's Manchester City socks don't pull up any better than his Villa ones.

Son Heung-min puts in the corner and Nathan Ake heads away. City have the chance to counter but they slow it down - and Ederson gets his first touch.
