  2. Postpublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Newcastle 0-0 Southampton

Rare chance for Newcastle as Callum Wilson gets his header on target but it's a good save by Alex McCarthy to claw away.

  3. Postpublished at 15:45 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford

Brentford survive. Emi Buendia and Danny Ings try some fancy footwork but can't work a shooting position before the ball ends up in the grateful arms of Bees keeper David Raya.

It is such a difficult skill to be able to carry the ball and still have the composure to finish the way Demarai Gray did.

    Brighton 0-1 Everton

Demarai Gray is the fourth player to score in both of his first two Everton Premier League away appearances, after Peter Beardsley (1992), Mickael Madar (1998) and Romelu Lukaku (2013).

    Teemu Pukki

Teemu Pukki steps up and... sends Kasper Schmeichel the wrong way. It's a lovely penalty into the bottom corner and that's Norwich's first Premier League goal of the season.

A looooong check to see if Norwich should have a penalty as Caglar Soyuncu slides in on Pierre Lees-Melou.

  10. goal

GOAL - Brighton 0-1 Evertonpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Demarai Gray

Boom. Everton take the lead as Demarai Gray speeds into the box past Adam Webster and hammers into the far bottom corner.

  11. 'Henry's got to score'published at 15:40 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

The goal's open, Henry pulls it wide - he's got to do much better, it just scrapes past the far post. He goes with his side foot rather than putting his laces through it. It should be in, they should be 2-1 up.

He's got to score. It's an easy one.

  12. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-0 Crystal Palacepublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Pablo Fornals

Scratch that last entry. That was great football.

Michail Antonio is sent racing clear before brilliantly exchanging passes with Pablo Fornals, leaving the Spaniard with an easy finish from eight yards or so.

Antonio is the first West Ham player ever to assist a goal in each of the club's opening three matches of a Premier league season.

Pinball in the Newcastle box from a James Ward-Prowse left-wing free-kick but nothing comes of it.

    West Ham 0-0 Crystal Palace

Still not a lot by the way of goalmouth action. West Ham as you'd expect look the fluent team but just haven't been able to find a way through the yellow wall in front of them.

So far they have had seven shots. All blocked.

  15. Postpublished at 15:38 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Newcastle 0-0 Southampton

Newcastle have had 33% of the ball and one shot, off target.

Southampton have had eight shots, including that open goal, although only one on target.

    Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford

Big chance for the visitors to regain the lead. German midfielder Vitaly Janelt evades a couple of Villa defenders before slipping the ball in the direction of Rico Henry.

Henry takes aim but drags his shot wide of the far post. Expected him to bury that.

  17. 'Brilliant El Ghazi'published at 15:35 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brilliant El Ghazi, as soon as he gets into that area I think he feels like he's got the beating of Canos. He squares him up and comes inside, slots the ball towards Ashley Young.

It's great to see things coming off for them.

  18. Postpublished at 15:33 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Everton

Almost for Everton. Richarlison finds Seamus Coleman on the right and his cut back is in between two Toffees players. Inches away from a big chance.

Moments later Richarlison hits a volley on the bounce miles over the bar.

    Brentford 1-1 Aston Villa

    Shamoon Hafez
    BBC Sport at Villa Park

Seeing the Brentford players up close for the first time and some of them are absolute units.

You wouldn't want to square up with Pontus Jansson, Kristoffer Ajer, Christian Norgaard or Ethan Pinnock.

They've certainly had their share of wheat biscuits for breakfast.

  20. Postpublished at 15:32 British Summer Time 28 August 2021

    Aston Villa 1-1 Brentford

Superb ball from Anwar El Ghazi to release Ashley Young, but the Villa midfielder can't quite reach that before it trickles out of play in the Brentford box.

The 2011 version of Young might have got to that one.
