Inside the first 30 seconds Harry Kane appears to be bundled over inside the box by a Watford defender. Nothing is given and the Hornets break up the pitch as Moussa Sissoko tees up Juraj Kucka but his shot is headed off the line by Eric Dier.

It's been confirmed both Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo are missing today's trip to Burnley after testing positive for Covid.

Firpo sent this message to Leeds supporters this afternoon.

Ten minutes to go before kick off in London and Lancashire. A win for Tottenham against Watford and they can go two points clear at the top although it is, of course, very early days.

Burnley and Leeds, meanwhile, are looking to pick up their first win of the season today.

Watford

Watford boss Xisco Munoz, speaking about what is needed to beat Tottenham: "High intensity is important today. We will see after what happens."

On Kane starting for Tottenham: "I don't know if it is good news or bad news! He will sure give 100% in the game and we need to stay 100% focused on our performance today.

"With humility and respect we will work very hard here. We will give our best and if we do that we will have a chance."

Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo, speaking to Sky Sports: I am pleased with the attitude of the players and the commitment they have shown.

"[Harry Kane] showed in the previous game and he is able to help the team today. He is an amazing player."

Two games played and six points picked up. It has been a very good start for Nuno Espirito Santo, who could become just the second Tottenham boss to win his first three league games in charge.

The only other man to do so was Arthur Rowe in 1949.

Leeds United

Marcelo Bielsa to Sky Sports:

"We had a not very good game (against Manchester United) and a better one (against Everton). There were improvements but they weren't sufficient enough to be able to win the game.

"We expect a very intense game today."

On Patrick Bamford's new contract and England call-up: "In principle they are two very good pieces of news for him and they are well deserved in my opinion."

Burnley feel like they've been picking from the same group of players since forever but they made a signing earlier today - Ivory Coast international Maxwel Cornet has joined from Lyon on a five-year deal.

It feels like every season you get some people declaring this will be the one that Burnley drop and every time they defy those predictions.

However, the stats are not looking great for them at the moment, particularly given their home form has usually been a big factor in them avoiding relegation.

The Clarets have equalled a 42-year-old club record by going 11 successive home league games without a win (D5, L6), and they could lose six top-flight matches in a row for the first time since 1895.

Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed to Sky Sports that the two United players missing today - Mateusz Klich and Junior Firpo - are both absent with illness.

Diego Llorente and Rodrigo have come in to replace them.

Must have been weird strolling into the away dressing room so soon after completing a move away from the club.

I have never worried about Burnley getting relegated under Sean Dyche, even when they have lost a few games because he will turn it around, but I am just not quite sure about this season. Something does not seem right at the club, although it is not the manager.

It will be too much for them against Leeds because whoever Marcelo Bielsa's side play, they don't change. They will win more games than they lose and the manager does not let the players get away with anything. It is 90 minutes of sheer sweat, exertion and pressure.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche makes just one change from last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Liverpool as he bids to halt a run of five successive Premier League losses spanning the end of last season and the start of the new campaign.

Ashley Westwood recovers from a toe injury to replace Jack Cork in midfield, while Aaron Lennon - who rejoined the Clarets in midweek - is among the substitutes.

Diego Llorente, who made his comeback from injury in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Crewe, replaces Firpo, while Rodrigo comes in for Klich. New England call-up Patrick Bamford leads the line for the visitors.
