Reigning champions Chelsea have made two changes from their 3-0 win at Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Mason Mount and Kai Havertz, who was an injury doubt, drop out with Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic coming in.

Romelu Lukaku is back on the bench after being injured in the group-stage tie against Malmo on 20 October.

Juventus have also made two changes from their 2-0 win at Lazio on Saturday.

Former Manchester City right-back Danilo and Luca Pellegrini miss out, replaced by Alex Sandro and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Man United have got a lot of bodies back, doubling up and making sure paces aren't that big. What they have to be careful of is the mixed messages - they've sat back and defended their own penalty area and suddenly Ronaldo got a bit annoyed and wanted to close down. Fred left his space and two passes and Villarreal were in behind occupying the space that Fred should've been in, they need to be careful when they do come out.

Adam Comstive: Controversial statement judging on the bbc football texts, but United did OK in first half. Some shape and evidence of organised pressing, which has been missing for weeks. Still too many individual errors but people in place to cover. Sancho looks a threat when on the ball.

The home crowd are raising the volume a bit. They're encouraged to see their side pressing forward. They keep meeting a ball of United black and blue, though.

That's almost very nice from Manchester United, who string some neat passes together on halfway before a ball designed for Cristiano Ronaldo behind the Villarreal defence is cut out.

Soon after, a Fred shot is easy for home keeper Geronimo Rulli. Jadon Sancho again doing well to set it up.

Bruno Fernandes is out warming up. He's an obvious candidate if Manchester United want to offer a bit more going forward. They've created little so far.

Dynamo Kyiv are yet to score in this season's Champions League so the chances of them getting something against Bayern Munich seem slim.

They have started the second half strongly though, with Mykola Shaparenko forcing a save out of Manuel Neuer before he curled a free-kick over the bar.

Bouna Sarr, who came on for Lucas Hernandez at half-time, got booked for the foul that led to the free-kick.

Scott McTominay is down after taking a knock. Just what the game needed to up the tempo.

If you're looking for a free flowing half from United where they dominate possession and get on the ball and dictate play it's not the performance you were wanting.

But they have dug in there and looked pretty organised, they've looked like they're working hard for each other. For a first 45 minutes as temporary manager it's not a bad start.

Half a job done, I guess.

For better or worse, it was a lot more fun when Manchester United were 2-0 down at this stage ahead of a stirring second-half fightback.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets himself into serious bother by taking on his man near his own box, losing it and allowing a Villarreal attack that sees Arnaut Danjuma slice an effort wide.

The corner is again worked short and then fed into the box for an Arnaut Danjuma cross that is headed away.
