I take it back. Jadon Sancho tries to take on his man and is easily tackled with team-mates showing their frustration in the Villarreal box.

There are just a few little signs of Jadon Sancho as a threat when he is allowed to run forward. He plays a lovely little ball inside the full-back for Donny van de Beek but the ball gets trapped under the Dutchman's feet and Villarreal clear.

More players down. Victor Lindelof and Arnaut Danjuma both go down after a heavy challenge from the former near the United box. Both look to be OK, though.

This is turning into a stroll for Bayern Munich.

It has been a good end-to-end game but a little bit of quality has put Bayern in complete control.

Thomas Muller steps over a pass and the ball finds its way to Kingsley Coman and he comes in from the right and fires into the top left corner.

Willem: You either press or you don't press. What United are doing is a bit half-hearted pressing that will never cause any issues for Villareal and just wears out the United attackers.

Yeremi Pino will be suspended for matchday six as he drags back Alex Telles on the edge of the Villarreal box. The United full-back was chasing after a ball from Anthony Martial. He now has possibly has the chance to fashion something from this set-piece. Cristiano Ronaldo is also in the mix.

Manchester United get lucky. The ball is swung over the head of Harry Maguire and to Arnaut Danjuma in the middle. But the bounce of the ball means he can't bring it down and the away side can rally to clear.

Alex Telles' corner is headed away by the first man.

Manchester United regather, though, and fire a ball back into the box for Cristiano Ronaldo to rise, meet, but head straight at the keeper. The spring in that lads' boots never fails to amaze.

Big save from David de Gea, exactly what he has to do when his team come under pressure. But this can't happen - if you're working hard through the middle of the field to stop intricate passes you can't allow a 80-90 yard pass from the goalkeeper that arrives at the corner of your own penalty area over the shoulder of Alex Telles.

Yeremi Pino is onto it in a flash, picks his head up and picks out a perfect pass to Manu Trigueros, he hits it so well and de Gea makes a good save.

The ball is cut back for Manu Trigueros and his first time hit across goal is palmed away by the keeper. It all comes from a big booming goal-kick. Too easy.
