We have a stoppage in the game. It looks to be a medical problem for someone in the stands. Hopefully they are OK.

Will Spurs qualify for next season's Champions League? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no.

OK, time for another quick vote for you lot.

Will Tottenham finish in the top four of the Premier League and qualify for next season's Champions League?

Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

We're allowed five subs in the Carabao Cup, compared to only three in the Premier League and Ruben Loftus-Cheek is Chelsea's fifth change.

Tottenham have brought on Ryan Sessegnon, Bryan Gil and Oliver Skipp but may be now focusing their attentions on a north London derby against Arsenal at the weekend.

  4. Postpublished at 79 mins

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

Tottenham have had more of the ball in this half, but it has still been a very solid performance from the Chelsea backline.

Time is ticking away and Chelsea are strolling to Wembley.

To me this isn't a reality check. Other supporters have been buzzing based on us not losing our first 8 league games under Conte. However, 7 of those 8 games have been against teams 11th & below in the table. Games we should have a chance in getting good results. The fact is, we're miles off the top teams. As we start playing the better teams in the league in the coming weeks this will further be exposed. This is a poor Spurs team, built by a poor chairman.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:21 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

Fifteen minutes to go. Chelsea make their fourth substitution - with N'Golo Kante coming on, just after Hakim Ziyech, Marcos Alonso and Thiago Silva had all come on.

Kante and Silva both missed the first leg because of positive Covid-19 tests and had only the one training session since then, but now's a perfect chance to get some minutes into the legs.

Well, maybe not for Kante. The man is a machine.

JChesterUnited: Just goes to show how vital VAR is, if not VAR, it could be 3-3 now... Also shows how poor the officials are.

Not been the best night for Andre Marriner, our man in charge on the pitch.

  8. 'Chelsea are looking to be solid'published at 21:16 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

    Matt Upson

Chelsea have reverted to a back three. When Alonso is on the pitch, he always plays as a wing-back. Sarr has drifted over to be the third centre back with Silva. Chelsea are looking to be solid.

The rules are lost on me. Why was Kane offside? There was another Chelsea player ahead of him?

    Anon

There needs to be two Chelsea players between Kane and the goal for it to be onside.

Kane was closer to the goal than goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was.

  10. 'Kane is offside'published at 21:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Kepa was so far in advance, Kane is offside when he receives the ball. VAR is right, you can't put it down to luck. In the last 10 minutes, they've been far more on the front foot.

  11. DISALLOWED GOAL - Tottenhampublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

That's two penalties and a goal ruled out for Tottenham.

Chelsea's lead remains at one on the night, and three overall.

  12. VAR check on Tottenham goalpublished at 21:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

For the third time, we go to Mike Dean in video assistant referee ground control.

  13. goal

    GOAL - Tottenham 1-1 Chelsea (1-3 on aggregate)published at 63 mins

    Harry Kane

Chelsea play themselves into trouble, Lucas Moura wins the ball and plays it to Harry Kane, who slots it into the corner.

But Kane was ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga and there was only one Chelsea man between Kane and the goal.

This could be another VAR decision going against Tottenham.

VAR putting in a rare good performance. Maybe fancies a January move?

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

A header from Emerson Royal and it is saved by Kepa Arrizabalaga. Spurs need three goals in 30 minutes. If they don't get it, the FA Cup will be their only hope of silverware this season.

  16. VAR gets it rightpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Kepa Arrizabalaga got the ball clearly. Justice done by VAR. Spurs still desperately seeking that lifeline from somewhere.

  17. 'He's won the ball'published at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

    Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 aggregate)

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

What are the chances of that not being overturned? He's won the ball. It is clear.

  18. NO penaltypublished at 21:01 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Harry Kane had played a ball forward to Lucas Moura, Kepa Arrizabalaga slid in to make a challenge with his feet and he clearly got the ball first.

A very brief check, referee Andre Marriner is told to have a look at it, does so and wipes out his original penalty decision.

That's twice Spurs have thought they were getting a penalty, only to be denied on both occasions.

  19. PENALTY to Tottenhampublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Will it be overturned though? Kepa Arrizabalaga challenges Lucas Moura and Andre Marriner points to the spot.

    It looks a soft one.

  20. 'Jorginho reads the game so well'published at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January 2022

Tottenham 0-1 Chelsea (0-3 on aggregate)

    Matt Upson
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Jorginho is not the most mobile player in terms of pace and running. But how he anticipates and reads the game is great.
