Ole makes excellent signings and is strong on club culture. He would make a good Sporting Director. But he is simply not a coach or tactician. So out of his depth.

There needs to be a little bit more movement up top for Manchester United. When Fred and Scott McTominay get it they are all in a line with the Liverpool line, nobody is dropping into the hole.

We need more movement from Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

United do their best to offer Liverpool an opportunity as Fred mis-kicks a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross into the box but no visiting player can find the finish.

Nitin: ManUtd are just a team of individuals currently. Some of them look absolutely awe-inspiring on paper, but inspire fright & agony for fans when they play together. There's no discipline or an ounce of team creativity. Ole is as clueless as one could be.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 29 mins

    Man Utd 0-2 Liverpool

More patient play from United and that has brought their best opportunities.

The boy wonder Mason Greenwood dances onto his left peg before drilling a arrowed shot which Alisson is at full stretch to push away.

Absolute shambles, same predictable formation and no change in tactics to match opponents. As much as the players should step up, they are following guidance from coaches. Their time is up. Ole, you've been great, but you haven't got what it takes.

Mason Greenwood does well to hold up the ball, sweeping it wide to Bruno Fernandes whose cross is blocked.

Ole ... it's simply time to go. Shoddy and totally shocking defence, lack of creativity going forward and simply trying to win games on the name alone. End of...

I'm a Chelsea fan, United need to make the same brutal decision we did and get a top coach in. Then they'd be dangerous.

During the Naby Keita injury break Jordan Henderson and James Milner were both talking to their team-mates and organising. Nobody does that for Manchester United.

Dennis: Harry Maguire a big money flop I have ever seen. Nerves or no nerves he has consistently been poor, making errors leading to goals almost in an every match played this season

Simon: This is what you get when you have individual stars in the team and not a team or even team players, and a manager afraid of making decisions. Ole at this point either puts his foot down or is out. Maguire has been awful since his return from injury

Liverpool have not had a chance for a while.

Maybe because Harry Maguire hasn't gifted the ball back to them. "Here you go".

It is plain as day that Ole is too poor an actual manager to take this team forward. There is no tactical plan. McFred does not, never has and never will work. Maguire is never dropped when he makes a mistake. This has to be the nail in the coffin. Thank you Ole for building a magnificent squad, but your time in charge has to be over now.

Patient football from Manchester United and they are inches away from pulling one back but Luke Shaw's daisycutter beats the hand of Alisson but beats the left-hand post by a whisker too.
