  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 77 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

A rare blank for Vivianne Miedema.

She is replaced by Australia's Caitlin Foord.

  2. GREAT SAVE!published at 76 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Another good save from Sandy MacIver. She's having a really good second half.

Beth Mead gets in behind the Everton defence after a beautiful Vivianne Miedema ball, but her left-foot effort is cleared by the feet of MacIver.

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 live

That was a brilliant opportunity for Jordan Nobbs. She probably swung at it a little too early.

I put that down to the lack of matches and game play that she’s had, coming back from an ankle injury.

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Arsenal are continuing to control this game.

They fashion an opportunity for Jordan Nobbs, about 16 yards out, but she scuffs her effort and it tamely dribbles towards goal and Everton clear.

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Lotte Wubben-Moy is a bit dazed here.

She tries to head towards goal but ends up heading the shoulder of Katie George.

The 22-year-old looks like she'll be ok to continue, though.

  6. goal

GOAL - West Ham 1-1 Birminghampublished at 16:26 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Louise Quinn (66 mins)

    Scrambled home!

Birmingham level from a corner. It's fired in towards the near post where a mountain of bodies flick the ball on to the bar.

It bounces down straight into the path of Blues skipper Louise Quinn who taps in from a yard out.

It wasn't pretty, but they all count.

  7. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 64 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Double change for Arsenal. Tobin Heath and Mana Iwabuchi are replaced by Beth Mead and Jordan Nobbs.

They have an absolute plethora of options.

Everton make their first switch too, with French striker Valérie Gauvin coming on for Anna Anvegard.

  8. 'Two outstanding saves'published at 16:24 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

    Kelly Smith
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Those were two outstanding saves by MacIver. It was a great shot by Tobin Heath which McIver just palmed away. The second one was a good block.

    It was good solid goalkeeping.

  9. GREAT SAVES!published at 62 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

    Double save from Sandy MacIver.

First Tobin Heath, who was drifted over to the right side, cuts in on her left foot and drives towards goal but MacIver gets down to parry away.

The ball is then recycled to Katie McCabe, who drives towards goal but MacIver is strong at her near post. The follow up is then blocked.

    Everton survive.

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Everton have been slightly better in the last few minutes - it is just their final product that isn't quite up to the level it needs to be.

Toni Duggan spun nicely in behind, but the ball was wayward and drifted through to the keeper, before a cross from the right was easily glanced clear by Leah Williamson.

  11. CLOSE!published at 58 mins

    West Ham 1-0 Birmingham

Tameka Yallop nearly doubles West Ham's lead, seeing her fierce strike from a tight angle palmed behind by Blues keeper Marie Hourihan.

    Birmingham on the ropes.

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

    Kelly Smith
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Iwabuchi reminds me of a bumblebee. She’s buzzing around at your heels, getting the ball out of defence, dribbling it up and committing players. She's everywhere!

  13. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Stop start at the beginning of this second half with two stoppages for an injury to both sides.

Arsenal then move the ball around nicely but the final product isn't good enough and the ball drifts out for a goal kick.

    Claudia Walker (54 mins)

Wow, in a game of little quality Claudia Walker sprinkles a bit of magic.

The former Birmingham City forward picks up the ball on the halfway line, drives forward and unleashes a thunderous strike into the corner.

    Some finish that.

West Ham beat Manchester City 2-0 away from home last time out.

You wouldn't know it watching their performance today. A lot of sideways passing against a Birmingham side yet to pick up a point this season.

  16. Postpublished at 49 mins

    Arsenal 2-0 Everton

Fairly quiet start to the second half, with just a couple of corners for the hosts.

Everton are going to have to massively improve in this second half if they want to take anything from this game.

  19. Get to know Gunners boss Jonas Eidevallpublished at 16:03 British Summer Time 10 October 2021

    HT: Arsenal 2-0 Everton

It is fair to say that Jonas Eidevall's start as Arsenal boss has been pretty successful.

They've won all four of their WSL games so far, including a victory over champions Chelsea, and battered north London rivals Tottenham 5-1 in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

They had a slight blip in midweek, with a first defeat of the Swede's reign, losing 4-1 to holders Barcelona in the Champions League, but things are looking up for the Gunners.

Having arrived from Rosengard in June, in only four months Eidevall has transformed Arsenal into a high-energy, front-footed and free-scoring side

Read more about Eidevall's earliest memories of football, his admiration for his predecessor Joe Montemurro and his hopes of regaining Arsenal's position at the top of women's football.

Reading's three points mean that Birmingham and Leicester are the only teams yet to register a point this season.

Birmingham are on track to take at least one at West Ham, meaning newbies Leicester will be rooted to the bottom of the table during the WSL's four-week sabbatical.
